Do they work?

They were removed from recycled cars and not warranty problems..I bought them to find a clear lens cover with less scratchs than mine....

You cannot use these in a different car, they keep the mileage from the car they are in

My understanding is the mileage is kept in the computer..You may have to synchornize the speedometer with the vehicle..using a BMW service tester..Do you know this information first hand from a personal changeover?

I have first hand knowledge of these not working. You cannot resynchronize. The mileage is written on an eeprom inside the cluster. It is part of the bus that the computer checks to make sure everything is legitimate. If you plug in another cluster, everything works but the mileage is wrong.

Also depending on which model of car these cam from, you may or may not have a clock in them

you can however use these for parts, such as extra led's, needles, test equipment for gauge work, The digital display can be used if yours is broken, the only thind that can;t transfer is the pcb itself (the main board)

Thanks that's very interesting..I bought these to find a clear lens that was less scratched then mine..Their both 6/05 and 8/05 manufactured so there's a chance the mileage may be lower than on the one your playing with...But for $25 plus shipping it does give someone a bunch of cheap parts....
