2006 Blue MCS with white roof and white bonets. Gas Station on the corner of County route 6 and Cassopolis in Elkhart today. Stopped and spoke with her about her car. Was bought from D&R. She wants to do a MINICCI/ D&R Drive some time. She said that she would like to start a local club or a South Bend area chapter of MINICCI.

Got two today!

A 2005/2006 MCS PS/PS with Indiana tags Westbound on I-94 around 115th street. I believe its Mini Motoring ID was 2com12, but was hard to read because of the lighting conditions. We exchanged waves and slogged side by side through traffic until she headed South on I-57.
#2
A B/W MC headed Southbound on Ridgeland in Oak Park as I was pulling up in front of my house. Exchanged waves.

Reading this thread has convinced me that my permanent departure from Chicago back in '87 was an IQ enhancing life decision. I think the traffic up there has everyone's brain in a state of suspended reality, or more specifically has lead to a permanent lack of imagination wherein watching for other Mini Coopers becomes the only quality of life measurment for most of Chicago's denizens. Must be from breathing all the exhaust fumes while sitting on the Eisenhower watching the gas guage needle slowly descending towards E all the while knowing that no matter how many horse power under the hood, a Chicago cop on a live horse could beat you in the quarter mile.

Hey, the day I was there a Chicago cop could have beat us in the quarter mile on a tricycle.
