Spotted today:

LiB/W MCS at Loews/BestBuy on Willow Rd in Northbrook @ 10:15am. Waved at you.. you were either confused or scared based on your reaction.

 

Parked next to PW/B MC with IN tags at BestBuy in Northbrook @ 1:30pm today. MINI was gone when I came out a few minutes later... both MINIs needed a car wash

 

SPOTTED:
2:30am Golf and Roselle Road in Schaumburg.

HO/B MCSC Just came from a car wash.. Was mighty clean!!!

THE CONVERTIBLE TOP WAS DOWN!!!! THAT'S A TRUE MOTORER!!!

 

Parked my '04 DS/B MCS right next to another DS/B MCS in the "E" Lot at O'Hare. It was equipped with a sun roof, aero package, bonnet stripes and lots of chrome. Also had a Bill Jacobs license plate frame.

 

Funny because I got back from a trip last night and my R56 was in the E lot as well... totally not the right description though

 

Spotted: DS MCS southbound on Gross Point near Lincoln at about 6:15 this evening..

spotted this morning on I88 Eastbound and then on 294 heading north @ 5:45ish. A PW/B R53 MCS with an oval "life is grand" sticker on the boot window.

So.. I went to the Museum of Science & Industry today to see the Star Wars exhibit and the Xmas tree displays... I did spot a few MINIs along the way, but I can't tell you what they were because I was trying to avoid the potholes on LSD north of the Loop.

BUT.. I did spot a couple in the most unlikely place...





Spotted them in the model train exhibit on the Main Floor. Pretty cool!!

 

^Now that is a well trained MINI spotting eye! Especially when you spot mini MINIs!!!

This morning @ 9:45ish on Rt. 34 in Oswego. What appeared to be a JB/B (it was dirty) with white bonnet stripes heading eastbound while I was pulling out of Wal Mart, we exchanged waves.

 

SPOTTED:

2:00pm -- Sterling Silver/B MC. westbound Golf road, crossing Plum Grove rd. Driver unaware of any surroundings, just yapping on the cell phone, SCREWING UP TRAFFIC!!!!

• LiB/W MCS - parked by Office Depot in Niles @ 2:45pm - you were getting into your MINI as I walked by with the stroller..
• CR/B MCC - sb Waukegan Rd/Beckwith @ 3pm
• PW/B MCS - sb Waukegan Rd/Beckwith @ 3pm (I was at the bakery)

no waves... but a nice variety of MINIs to spot

 

I spent the past couple days in Chicago and spotted:

CR/W R53 MCS with: Union Jack mirror caps, a DC Metro MINIs window sticker, and aftermarket wheels on 94W. I didn't wave since I was in a boring rental car.

Was that any of you?

 

Twas not me. For I have been MINIless since Tuesday morn'. A certain dealer had a mulligan. I should be back in the saddle this afternoon though.

If it had been me, I would have waved or at least the my car would have.

Rt22 in BG@ the tracks Gold on gold blackbonnet stripes a MC stopped for a green light, older female driver

 

i figured it probably wasn't you... it was sooooooooooo dirty, it may have been AB/B instead of JB/B i have a hard time telling the difference between the shades of MINI black. thnx zaz!

 

I got a hearty wave (1st time ever ) from an OB/B with black stripes MC at 9:30 at the Geneva Commons Parking lot. 1st sighting of another OB MC as well.

 

I have only seen one other OB owner so far!!

 

I drove past an IB/MCS with tinted windows and what looked like a black lab in the passenger seat today on 290. I was concetrating on passing too much to wave.

 

02-04 PS, Rt 41 North, & min after midnight, flashed the headlights and waved as I passed, no response though

 

HB R56 MCS Streets of Woodfield parking lot 2nd level right next to the door between 2300 Sat. and 0030 Sun. I waved was snarlled at, so nope didn't leave a NAM card with that one.

 

Spotted today:

CR/B MC - Target parking lot in Glenview @ 2pm. carried on a nice conversation with the owner. Said she didn't know about the local club or NAM, but has owned the MC for 3 years and loves her MINI hopefully she'll find her way here. didn't have a spotter card on me since I was driving the other car.
