Gemmy- TN seems to be a great middle ground,,, we can get a Mini caravan going and have some of Hal's pork candy and some chess(t) pies,, I can drive a hoss or two around the block and ,,,and,,,and,,and,,,, whew! stared to stutter there,,,,, Ola can zip up from Fla.

And for old times sake maybe we can drive by a certain 'apple' grove,,,,,,,,,

Hia Freebs!

I was out on the road all day - trip to meet new folks, discuss/debate/knock-down-drag-out arguments on one of my favorite topics: LOGISTICS! And of course I had to be out with my goof-ball military boss...the one who embarrassed the DAYLIGHTS out of me on our last trip by telling all the waitresses it was my birthday FOR THREE DAYS STRAIGHT!!! (It was TOTALLY not my birthday.) He did it again today. Remind me never to go on trips with him again....

Hi all. just returned from school.

Hubby and I are running away for the weekend. Haven't done any kind of vacation since i was laid off last year... wow last year. November was a year. wow if someone would have told me last year that i was going to be out of a job, get attacked by a dog (mulitply times) and go back to school. I would have laughed at you!
anyway we have tickets for a comedian Jeff Dunham, anyone heard of him. I think he is so funny and talented!

Doesn't he do Achmed the dead terrorist?

I've seen him several times on the Late Show. Great ventriloquist.

Hia Freebs! I hope everybody had a good day today.

My day was quite long. We had to review a contract proposal, which took FOREVER...and caused me to kinda screw up. I had organized a video teleconference for my full-bird colonel, and was out all day yesterday. When I got the email that told me what number to use, and when, I didn't read it very carefully - I just assumed that the time of the meeting had changed. It hadn't, so he ended up missing it. VERY BAD. The rest of the day was just running around like crazy with other stuff.

I came home obsessed with starting the job of scraping our windows to get them ready for priming and painting...and possible fixing some of the panes. So I did. That is some SERIOUS height, by the way. I had my nifty 20' ladder (with bow-leg stabilizers) almost completely extended, and still didn't reach all the way! The poor house. The putty around the window panes completely fell apart - and these windows are so big I could stand up in them and barely hit my head (I'm 5'8"). They are six-over - one: six paned windows over one great big sheet of glass. Very pretty, but had me total nervous wreck trying to hold onto the ladder while scraping it and try NOT to put my scraping tool through the big sheet!! (Very hard to replace - most of them are original glass.) But of COURSE I neglected to DOUBLE CHECK the status of my glazing putty BEFORE I started the project!! The stuff I knew we had turned out to be already opened and almost a year old - just about as crumbly as the old abused stuff! So much for getting the new glaze in to dry all day tomorrow. This window obsession is going to be all me. Even though he's Airborne qualified (jumps out of airplanes), hubband is afraid of heights!!

*SIGH* anyway, they're having a huge antiques jamboree tomorrow at a local historical location *YAY!!!!* Guess where I'm going!?

OMG Hal that was to FUNNY!! Thanks for posting that!!

TGIF Freebies!!! Man was it a LONG Week!! Remember I had 2 Four Day Work Weeks back to back, so this 5 Day Work Week seemed like it took FOREVER to end!!

Hubby and I are going to price out Carpeting tomorrow AM for ALL of the carpeted areas of the house!! Family Room, Hall, Living Room, Formal Dining Room (could be 4th Bedroom), Guest Bedroom, Office, Master Bedroom, we think about 1100sq ft. I get a Co. Discount at this certain Contractor's Store so it should be interesting to see the comparison to Homey Depot and Lowe's.

We'll post findings tomorrow...Nite Nite Freebies!!
