OMG that was funny!!!
OLA and TN what you don't know about the town above me about 8 miles away, that is the big joke there, most people have no teeth!!! Seriously, it is hicktown USA and where everyone looks the same and no dentists to be found, but everyone owns a pickup truck.
When I tell people my town that is the first thing that is mentioned.

Well, just got hubby to bed and I'm off for that same thing for a "long winters nap"....

Off to teach Thistle how to pour coffee before I turn in for the night.

Night all, and planning on sleeping LATE tomorrow, hopefully the phone doesn't ring!

I understand, me too...
True story, I was driving down the highway one day near that town and a billboard was a ad for a dentist and in big what letters was "GOT TEETH"

I laughed so hard and loud when I saw that, the next week the ad was gone!

Happy Valentine's Day Freebies!!

I made sure to tell Hubby that "We Celebrate Valentine's Day Every Day", no need to spend $$ on me. I can't have Chocolate, or I shouldn't, and as much as I L@VE Flowers, I'd rather just enjoy the Day together and not have to worry about $$!!

Ok, well, I have something to share...Gemmy, I hope I don't rain on your parade, everything I said I meant whole heartedly.

So here goes...I've had to see a Cardiovascular Disease Specialist since Feb. 5, I had an EKG at that Appt., I had an Ultrasound last Tuesday, I'm now wearing a Heart Monitor (Thurs.), it will be my Friend for the next 25 Days. I am scheduled for a Cardiac MRI on Tuesday Morning (8am).

I don't want to bumb my Freebie Friends out that's not my intentions, but I would like some feedback if anyone has gone through this, if you don't want to share with the group then PM me please, K?? Thanks!!

RJ- I had all of those things done in August/Sept and had the Cardiac Cathe too. I only had the 24 hr monitor though. What kind of symptoms are you having? What would you like to know?

I passed (still concious) out a few weeks ago last Friday while having dinner with Hubby. But after seeing my Step Dad go through what he went through I promised my Mom that I would see a Cardiologist. This was my Wake Up Call I guess.

In 1989 I was diagnosed with Mitral Valve Prolapse and in 2005 Aorta Valve Leakage. Since then I've not seen a Cardiologist and really not worried about it. I've always had palpatations that come and go, but now chest discomfort has started. I'm not looking for a diagnosis just what can I expect from here on out. BTW...every test I have had up to this point has been on a "First Available" basis, so I'm glad I made that call.

Well every test you've mentioned so far is pretty simple. The cardiac cathe was the worst for me. But I'm really happy that I had it because it helped me figure out something that has changed my life.

It's good that you're getting everything looked at... especially since you already have a couple of pre-existing conditions. Just curious... are you on some kind of low-salt eating regimen?

Did you do the treadmill testing yet? That's just on the treadmill with EKG hooked up. Mine was abnormal so I had to do another but with a shot of nuke juice.

Yes Ola, but for my Meniere's Disease, I take the Generic of Maxzide everyday.

Usually the stress test on the treadmill is one of the first things they do. I guess they're just going to look at your monitor results from times when you're working out?

Hi RJ-- sorry to hear you are having some worries too.

I have nothing to offer up-- the only thing I know about MVP is that if it starts failing there are some pretty good options to repair it. I have two clients that have gone though valve replacements. Here's hoping that your tests won't indicate that surgery is needed... maybe an RX will help.

I will add you to my thoughts and prayers list,,, that's what the freebs are all about!!

Gemmy-- great news about the men in your life-- have a wonderful night's sleep!!

Tnny?? Stil laughing about the toothless strong backed shoveler!!

I'm not scheduled to see the Dr. until March 18th. However after my Ultrasound the Tech. had me wait in the Examine Room while she wrote up the Test Results and consulted with my Dr. who was On Call at the Hospital where my Drs. Office is. The Tech. then came back and told me that the Dr. wanted to do either a CT Scan or the Cardiac MRI and that someone would contact me that day (Tues. 9th), they called within in a few hours and said that they had to get a Pre-Authorization from my Insurance to do the Cardiac MRI, that came on Thurs. (11th) Afternoon.

I'm sure that after the Cardiac MRI I will be seeing my Dr., I just don't know when at this point other than the March Appt.

I think I was going to have the CT or the MRI (can't remember which right now) but I was told that I was ummm... too busty. I did have one procedure though... and then I had the cardiac cathe because I guess it's the only real way to "SEE" in there and not miss anything.

Did you just have that one incident of passing out?
