I was wondering what BTDT meant too.

Hola Freebs! Just stopping in for a second to say hello.

I must admit that I am having a bit of a problem bypassing the vision of TNMM driving cross country with no pants on! But if anyone could pull it off I'm sure it would be her. I would have had to buy a skirt or something. I wonder TNMM- if you had been pulled over by cops- do you think that would have HELPED or HURT your chances of getting out of a ticket? Some kinda raging rash in your lady parts... hmmm... guess it depends on what part of the country you are in and how often they see ladies like that.

UGH, poison ivy is my enemy. I had to get a series of shots every spring into summer to prevent it from coming on. It almost killed me, I would go outside when someone would burn weeds and I would get poison inside my mouth, ears and nose so bad my throat would close on me. this lasted my entire childhood into my early 30's. In the last 10 years I haven't had the effects of it as bad as childhood but I don't think people burn weeds and sticks as they did when I was growning up. I certainly stay clear of anything that remotly looks like that weed.

Hi all, just catching up here, we have been without internet for 12 days, UGGGGHHHHHHHHH! that hurt.
I pay bills on line and tests for work and school and of course chat with my freebies.
I'm back, my wonderful hubby fixed it by midnight last night and don't you know this morning the internet people rang our bell. So to not waste a trip they put in new jacks. I was inpressed they came out on a sunday to do this but after me "going Italian" on friday night to them, i think i scared them a bit.
So just catching up. Yes cabby you missed my birthday, oh and happy belated anniversary!
Hal and Viv, hum- poison ivy on parts is more information left to imagine! I'm sure neither one of you were laughing.
And I had no idea what BTDT, meant but certainly wondering around the house missing each other is what we do best.
AK how you been feeling? when is the doc appointment?

My sister was in the hospital 2 weeks ago with back pain, after fighting a really bad cold, i figured they would give her meds and release her, only to find out she had a callasped lung and Phenomena and 3 blood clots. holy crap was that a scary week. She is slowly getting better and back to her old self now but wow.

Last weekend Memorial weekend we were in NY to see hubby's daughter, husband and our 18 month old grandson. OMG is he just adorable. and he mimics everything you say now... and his favorite thing to say is whoa, when he sees something interesting. too cute.
ok that's all for me, just glad to be back!
night all.

Hia Freebs. Sorry I've been so MIA (missing in action), but life has been horrific lately. Happy belated birthday Gem! Happy anniversary Cab!!!! (Anybody else I forgot??) I missed you guys!!!

Jim's cousin (the one who basically lived with us for a bit in VA) brought her GIANT dog (great pyrenese and border collie mix) up for us to doggysit while she and her beau were in the field for a month. While she and I were out wedding dress shopping/antique shopping over Memorial Day weekend, my MINI decided to "slip a snap link" (?) which evidently is a highly unusual event, but easily fixable AFTER the long weekend...from what I understand (and AK can correct me if I'm wrong) this is essentially like when a bike slips it's bike chain - the "gates" for the gears wouldn't engage and I couldn't get it into reverse. I had to have the poor thing towed, and got a "justa" auto loaner... Sorry guys, but there is NO WAY I could EVER drive a justa nor an auto for any length of time and have my sanity survive. Or what's left of my sanity.

ANYWAY...so we had some family breakable stuff we decided we didn't want to haul around the world with us (and chance getting it broken/damaged), so we decided to go home to OH for a visit while school is "on break" and set up a long term storage locker. We hauled ALL THREE dogs (95lbs, 60lbs, and 40lbs) and a trailer back. We were gone for a total of five days. We got back around 0130 this morning, and downloaded the car (a really sweet mission style desk I found at an antique store on the way!! I was driving, and Jim was alseep, so I snuck off the highway. heheheheh.) Our DEAR "new" cat Finn was evidently very unhappy at our absence, so the house was stinky (although not trashed or as bad as our last cat.) That cat HAS to be part dog...stinky dog. At 2pm today, Jim went out to the BMW and MINI to run errands only to find that someone had smashed the passenger window of the BMW...as he was calling the cops, I discovered that they first tried throwing the softball-to-football sized rock at the MINI windshield (and splintered it almost all the way across, and over the entire passenger side). The cops and we think it was stupid teenagers that traverse the alley behind the house (where our parking pad is). Funny enough, these "kids" hang out at the Episcopal church youth area across the street. Nice, Christian thing to do, n'cest pas? With a high deductible on each vehicle (WHY would I think TWO of our vehicles be in an incident at once???), looks like these jerks have cost us at least $1,000. My windshield will cost at least $700, and that's for aftermarket glass. I am SO PISSED OFF.

Anyyyyway. Hope you guys are having a decent summer. I wonder why NAM didn't send me email updates on the thread???? Watch out for the poison ivy!! (I can TOTALLY see Viv driving around au natural!!!!)

I'm with x... my last month and a half has been... kay-rap...

Lucy has been diagnosed with Mast Cell Tumors. We had one removed from her face and the vet was unable to get a clean removal of the tumor, so she has been referred to a veterinary oncologist. We're motoring out on Thursday to WSU to meet with them there. She will probably have to have radiation and chemo. :(

Mugen... is just being a puppy.

My car... well.. I love Viola.. but I am SERIOUSLY considering trading her in on a Countryman next year. I think I would get a LOT of use out of a car with AWD up here and I could use the cargo space with two fully grown Labs and two teenagers and etc. I can't believe I'm even typing that out loud.

On top of that... the son thought it would be brilliant to drive his car into the side of an incline yesterday. He buried the passenger side wheel in loose soil up to the axle and I did everything I could think of to get the car out without calling a tow truck...

... that's eventually what I ended up doing.

He has lost his keys until he repays me for the 80$ for the tow. The tow guy says the car is fine, but I am going to take it to a mechanic and have the undercarriage checked regardless.

Turns out... that he got stuck because he thought off roading in a 4 door sedan ( a 99 Toyota Corolla) was a GOOD idea.

I hope everyone is doing well and send positive, healing energies where they are needed most!

OH RG- my prayers are out there for Lucky! please keep me update on that fuzzy four legged baby of yours!

As for your son, hum, well kids will be kids, but maybe he should consider a Jeep before he tries to off road again! Glad he is ok though.

I have just finished my semister of Psycology and pass! thank goodness for that, too much medical terminology for me to handle. But now with this information I have a more understanding why people do what they do!

Have a great weekend everyone! I'm homework free for the weekend and would like to attack the list of things to do before school starts again!

ROFL!

No... no one got the free classic mini. Turns out the original poster of this thread was some kind of whacked out scam artist. I think she may have been trying to scam a shipping fee out of someone here for a car that she did not have.

RG... <sigh> Your sweet pup... Please give the Lucy Monster lots of love from her Aunties here on the Freebie channel.

Ronnie, what RG meant to say is that we aren't sure... in order to find out you have to read every 5th page until you're caught up.

Thanks V. I will pass them on to her. She's been through so much... she just doesn't deserve all of this.

Oh and yes... absolutely! Of course! That's exactly what I meant Ronnie!

Hi Freebs!!! **waving**

Uhoh,, honey,, I told you on FB but will tell you again on our Freeb's thread, I am so sorry about those windshields,, I get the feeling that moving to Kansas hasn't been a bowl of cherries...

I was down and out last week with a sinus infection... I first figured it was "just" allergies, but then everything escalated,, ugh.. but am on the mend,,,

Everybody's activities sound awesome,, espeically RJ! good job on the club run!

Hey AK,, how is the vertigo??
Gem,, sorry to hear about your sis,, she sounds like she is lucky that she got to the hospital when she did,,
And Rg sorry to hear about Lucy,, that is just too sad.

I'm getting another windshield put into my MINI - not because it's chipped (like the last 2 I've had put in it), but because this one was installed improperly and has been leaking. Not sure if I've mentioned it to anyone here - but I tore apart my ENTIRE interior trying to chase down this leak, and haven't really driven the MINI much in the last few months as a result...

cabwy - vertigo has gone away for the most part. I had a very bad case of it when I was flying out to the field, but have been fine since then. I've got an appointment w/ the specialist next week (he comes down once a month), so hopefully I'll get more answers.

How's everyone else doing today?

I'm in need of a road trip as well.

One that doesn't involve getting dog cancer diagnosed...

If you seriously plan that trip, let me know! I'll toss Mugen in the MINI and we'll motor on down! Might as well do it this year before my road side assistance runs out.
