RJ, so sorry to hear about your mom. Hopefully it's something simple like sinus pressure from the wacky weather or allergies (which would be ironic, as many people moved to AZ to get away from allergy symptoms... but then they brought the trees and plants they loved from home and now AZ has allergy issues).

Spent the weekend nursing my sick son. Got a real scare on Sat pm/Sun am, when his temp shot up to 104.5. But it's now down to 99.5. He's on the mend, altho slowly. But even he admits he feels a touch better... Unfortunately, my husband and stepdaughter are now sick. So I am now a full time nurse, in addition to my other jobs! Hoping Meredith & I stay well...

OK- off to nurse the sick. TTFN. Oh- and it's snowing & raining here...

I started back home @ 5:30am this Morning and got to my (not so Half-Way point) by 10:30am!! I have got to find a better Stop-Off point between Home(Vancouver, WA) and Phx Metro, now that my Mom has moved back to the Valley, she may not be so happy about it, I hope to be down to see her more often, my Dad also lives in Phoenix, and my Brother is in Carlsbad, CA an easy 8hr. Drive for him!!

Even though my Mom was not feeling well we had a great time. My Brother also came down to work on her Tahoe to get it ready to put up for Sale, I helped some, holding the Flashlight and cleaning while he fixed!!

My Brother and I also ran a few errands together...I really enjoyed that part too, but don't tell him I told you so!!

Just wanted to check in and see how everyone was. RJ, how's your Mom doing?

 

RG, they are going to test her for Meniere's Disease, but not 'til Feb. 28th. Hubby and I hope to be down the first Week of March to help my Step Dad Celebrate his 75th Birthday. It will be Hubby's first time traveling to Phoenix.

Talked with Mom yesterday after her tests, they have not ruled out Meniere's, but it sounds more like BPPV.

We (Hubby&I) will be going down next week for a much needed Vacation!! Remember last year, Heart Surgery kind of took away my "Vacation".

 

Will continue sending good thoughts for your mom RJ and I hope that you and hubby have a nice vacation this time around! You deserve it!

We, suddenly, find ourselves with GAWJUS weather- so... (drumroll pahlease), I'm going to ignore my SI joint and go ride horses for a few hours. Cabby, if you're lurking, I am taking care of my SI joint... had a 2 hour deep tissue massage to work on it and my IT bands that have gone kaplunk (I fell hard on the ice back in January and mangled my right hip which contracted all the muscles/tendons in my right leg and created issues in my right food- in the process of trying to work all that out in Physical Therapy, my SI went out 2 days ago, but hasn't pinged my nerve... riding actually seems to help as I can create traction while riding)

I am doing good V.

Daughter is doing fine, her wisdom teeth are out and her swelling is almost entirely gone. The dogs are doing good. Lucy is healthy and running around and being a dog and so far, no signs of new tumors, but I know that's just a matter of time. Everything seems to be going okay, for once, except for the fridge and my washing machine.

I am gonna need a vacation after we get the oldest through graduation though.

Take care of yourselves freebies. Sounds like we're all due for a little R&R.

I've got food issues X, I got food issues! For example, I take issue with bad food. Which usually gets my knickers in a bind, which leads to a hitch in my giddyup and there you have it!

((((Hugs))) to ALL of my Freebee Family!! We are Back from AZ, had a great time, but man that 24hr. Drive (with Fuel/Food Stops) in 2 Days is a Killer, especially since I just did it last month.

Mom is doing much better, she was a bit overworked from the Party, but I think once she realizes that she needs to do her excerises, take the Zyertec and Lipo-Flavanoid we got her and not get stressed over stuff she'll stave off the Vertigo episodes (BPPV).

Unfortunately it is not Menniere's Disease, she does have some pretty noticable hearing loss in one ear, but the "Tell Tale Sign" Cold and then Warm Air being blown into each ear did not induce a reaction as it did when I was tested. So this is something she is just going to have to live with and do as mentioned above or be Dizzy a lot.

Thanks for all of the warm thoughts, wish I would have seen them while I was down there, reading them to my Mom would have been fun.

BTW...I am writing this without my glasses on so I'm typing from memory and at 10:47pm with only 5hrs. of sleep last night and a 12hr. drive today, if my spelling leaves a bit to be desired...deal with it!!

 

Get some sleep RJ. And I'm glad Mom is doing better. It's snowing here (Maine) which is hysterical as it was 65 degrees yesterday and all my doors were open to let the warm breezes in.

OK, off to find some coffee...
