Free Classic Mini...

Well I just returned from our 2,887 mile trek to Florida - complete with kids in the car. Thank goodness for Ipods and Sony PSP
After at least unpacking the car, I decided to read from page 25 when I left to present ... so as not to spoil the picture finale! Needless to say - I am left not only crushed by the lack of happy ending, but I took some serious crap from my lovely wife for going straight to the computer and leaving her to continue the unpacking.
Skillet, man - this is disappointing
Now its snowing and is a far cry from 75 - 80 degrees and sun..
We never put up a tree because we were going south for the holidays. However, I can leave up the twinkle lights on the two trees either side of my front door - until the Mini comes home!
Speaking of "safes in houses" ...... we hired a guy at work about 8 months ago and when he moved into his house they put in a new washer and dryer. There was a safe built into the floor under a fake floor panel under the dryer. There are no instructions, in fact he was never told it was there.
I checked the other forum - the safe they are discussing was under carpet. Different safe. I'll have to find out after the holidays if he has opened it yet.
Only 150 more posts for 1,000 - the safe thread is over 1,500 posts!!!
I checked on my Mini rebuild project last night after things had calmed down at home. One door is reskinned and has been refitted to match up with the new A-panel. The sill is still being repaired. This should complete the passenger side. I will get pictures at the weekend. I should have it back for the first of February...
I guess we are all waiting for the New Year's Mini - what a start to 2009 for Skillet (he says trying to remain optimistic)

....DHHIY....I like the grill badge idea.
NIDHIY (no, I don't have it yet)
Well I've got an update as of last night.
Martha is on the ground in BC, the car is in storage as Sandy isn't allowed more than 2 cars at her place. I asked her about being able to get photos by tomorrow, but she's going to be out shopping for a car for her son, so...it looks like this weekend she'll get me photo's (I'm praying).

We took our tree out last night into the back field and lit it up. :D Nothing says Christmas cheer like bundling up next to the fire... of your burning Christmas tree. lol
On another note... nothing rings in the new year like getting your first classic mini. I'm making plans to pick mine up on Thursday. Come on FedEx.. pull through for me.

I was thinking about taking some pictures of some stuff around here but I'm not sure if I can find the time to actually do it. I haven't had 4 weeks to plan, and I might go shopping, and it is SO hard to upload a photo to share.

Skillet - Apple just sounds busy these holidays - You are still talking to her, she didn't change her mind did she?[/quot3
Yes, thank you for asking, I am much improved...still sore but able to walk and dirve. The swelling is much less noticeable now.
I am all set for 10 am on Saturday-- starting to get veeeerrry excited.

I just went to that forum you mentioned... seemed VERY familiar! OMG!
I read the first two pages... skipped to the last page and then went back to page 58. Didn't figure anything out. Can't do anymore. So this dude has never opened his safe? WTF? The dude has total control over this ending... . At least we know that Skillet's got no more power than the rest of us have to make his Mini appear. Seriously, I can't go on for 6 months or more like those people over there. I sure hope Apple didn't set this whole thing up as a joke.
