I love darts. Then again... I'm kind of partial to the Dodge brand. :D

Great to see that Classic Dart delivered as promised!

The MoPar's were my favorite, especially with that solid slant/six and push-button Torqueflite,
looks like a far better driver than the Ford.

4 hours to get to Palm Harbor? Or are you going to Orlando?

I used to live in the Bay area until about 2 1/2 years ago.

wow nice!!! you guys have done some great work... I love older houses but not the patience to do the work... as it is, the house we have is a model home sample and there was still things i wanted to change. Poor hubby has a list 3 miles long and it just gets longer. He is handy to have around to do this stuff, if his wife would stop adding to the list!

Big Norm,

Nice ride! Looks good in a picture, but then Mini's can do that too...

What's your thoughts on work needed now that you have it on the driveway?

Speaking of Minis (& other cars) that are not even close to being free!

Barrett Jackson - Scottsdale started yesterday and there is a Mini Jolly on the auction list for Friday.

Check it out......

http://www.barrett-jackson.com/appli...3&d=01/14/2009

Free Classic Mini...-mini-jolly.jpg

Lot Number 996
Auction Scottsdale 2009
Year 1962
Make AUSTIN
Model Style MINI JOLLY
Exterior Color BLUE/WHITE
Interior Color WICKER
Cylinders 4
Engine Size 850CC
Transmission 4-SPEED MANUAL

Summary An Austin Mini "Jolly" with 809 original miles. Research indicates that only 3 were ordered. Totally original including original seats, carpet and paint.

Details This Austin Mini "Jolly" defines rare. First, it is the ultimate body style. Only 3 were ordered. Second, except for routine maintenance, it is totally original. Finally, it has only 809 original miles. I have owned this 805cc/34hp Jolly for nearly 20 years. In that time, it has served as my "pit" car at vintage races, as my golf cart at numerous rounds of golf and as my estate car on a larger property. Years ago, Brian Jackson and I used this as our "cart" at numerous Barrett-Jackson auctions. I have personally driven this Jolly over 70 mph.

That's beautiful! VERY VERY VERY picturesque and very sweet. I'd go for it, if I were hunting again!

Big Norm - sounds like the vibes are good again and you're all set for your new project! After I win the lottery, I'm going to collect a bunch of old cars and build a show garage for them!

it has very minor surface issues around places where the chrome and body meet....very minor....interior is in pretty good shape, so not really worried about that.......just needs a good cleaning......need to check the brakes as well....really hard to stop (all drum brakes)........gonna get and a/c installed to at some point....to damn hot in florida for no a/c...lol

I owned a 1973 Dodge Dart Swinger from 1982-1988. It looked a bit different than yours, Norm, but it was still a fun car.

No... I don't drive slow enough for it to take 4 hours to get there! We dropped the '08 off in Orlando and took the '05 to Jacksonville. It's about 4 hours to Jacksonville. And since cops were EVERYWHERE... I think it may have taken longer. We just got home. I decided not to go back to Palm Harbor after we got our '05 back and found much evidence that a mouse had spent the weekend in it. More later.

I've got to get ready for bed. Did no one have cheesecake? We could have stopped at the Cheesecake Factory if I'd known!
