Chrome Trim Alternative

Chrome Trim Alternative
I finally gave up on the plastic chrome trim for my wheel arches & side edges of my rocker panels. Even warming it up with a heat gun and remolding it over the arches - the fit was marginal at best and it was easy to pull off. I really did not want to rivet it in place so I looked around for an alternative and found a neat chrome trim through my workplace.
The trim is a U-shaped piece of rubber like edge trim that is about .6" wide and has internal gripper fins inside the U shape to hold it in place. It has a textured exterior surface with a chrome pad molded onto one side. My only thought was that the chrome trim once installed would face up from the lip - not on the outside edge.
My car has a POR15 underbody that comes up to the lip on the outer sill/rocker and then from the lip up is the body color. It took longer to cut it to the right length than it did to push it on. It works for edge thicknesses from 0.080" to 0.210" - so it went on easily over both single thickness and multiple thickness edges where panels join together. the trim is very flexible and is supposed to to be able to go down to 3/4" radii.
Here are some pics - I ran it along both lengths and then on the front and rear valances under the bumpers.......

Looks pretty good. Part numbers? Supplier?
This is what I've been using:

Protekto Trim Chrome Truck Door Edge. Comes in a 50 foot roll, enough to do a couple of cars.

Its a product that we make at one of the manufacturing plants in the company I work for. We market the edge trim products under the name StanPro.
http://www.stanpro.com/
I used part # 75000363. I do not know the cost as the plant sent me some samples long enough to do my car - but I can ask around.
The chrome pad can some in other colors - e.g. a gold pad
There are all kinds of edge trims, seals, etc. in the product line-up. It looks like the carton size is 300ft, but I think there are distributors that sell it.
I have some left if anyone would like a sample piece to look at.
