Good luck. Will likely be cheaper/more cost effective to buy a 1275 that's already a manual. If you do the work yourself, that's one thing. To pay Machine Shop rate labor ($80-$100/hour) you're looking at $300+ just to perform the block conversion. That's not even counting the engine disassembly and reassembly.

If you can't/won't do the work yourself, you are better off finding a manual block in either running or non-running condition.
Examples: I'm selling a complete tested and running 1275 engine/trans (manual) for $1650 and a rebuildable core (engine and trans) for $700. You can sometimes find bargains out there for less, or pay more for a more newer or rebuilt units.

Spank thanks for the input. The guy in Minimania wanted to trade for the automatic but i just bought this engine and it was stored for 3 years in a garage. So the engine is dirty and missing some parts. I was going to rebuild this engine by myself but dont have mill to drill out what is necessary to make the engine into a manual transmission. I would like to find another 1275cc engine that is a manual but might have to do the convertion if i cant find one in my budget.
