I'd really like more info on how you made those, Aussie. How you bent the wood through that curve, etc. That looks like how I'd do it if I added speakers in back. Nice work!

The mirrors are pretty cool looking. They look good on an xB too. I have a friend that put them on his xB.

Very nice job indeed. I love the paint and the Southern Cross on the boot looks fantastic.
Did you replace the wheels or paint them?

Very Nice details. I love the dash. I bet it feels great to have it back on the road. Thanks for sharing the update/finished build. Both "before" and "after" are fun versions for the mini. You have sliding Mk1 windows. Don't Aussie's have roll-up glass with those little pop-out quarter windows?

You're right dimini. Didn't even notice. He must have replaced the doors with English ones. All Aussie Minis came with roll-up windows, and if you look in the 1st couple of pics in the original post, you can see the opening quarter windows.

HI Guys...

Thanks for the comments,

Ausise minis built before (and during the first half of) 1964 had sliding windows. My car originally had sliding windows but the prevoius owner changed them years ago. I changed them back not because I was after originality (as you can see from the car its hardly original!) but because I know in a few years time I will take the car back to what it was when it rolled off the factory floor. By then these doors will be like hens teeth (or rocking horse s#*t!!) As it was it was really hard to find a good set

Also MINIxB: I have increased the ride height an inch as with 3 peple in the car it 'scrubs out' a bit!!

Cheers, Bryan

Very special. This is one of the best I've seen. I lived in Melbourne for 6 years and it was great. Glad to see you.
