Claus thanks for the heads-up. I just ordered one for my '08 Chillie Red Clubman S . Anyone have experience installing the Magnaflow system? Looks like it bolts right on.

Installation is easy. You have to cut your factory exhaust 3" behind the cat. The instructions spell it all out and it is easy. I recommend disconnecting the V band clamp that holds the factory downpipe to your factory exhaust and make the cut with your factory exhaust off of the car. Also, I bent the rear hangers that are bolted to the car up about a half an inch for better fitment in the rear.

Can U measure the size of the box?
I am having mine shipped for free to CA by UPS, and then to Canada by US MAIL...
Still a great deal!

Installed it today.

A slight improvement in the sound, particularly at idle and wide open throttle.
Butt dyno says there's an improvement in Horsepower.

MAKE SURE you turn the middle pipe with the resonator all the way up or it will hit the pan that sits under it that mounts with six bolts!

Tata Steva box size: 49" X 25" X 14" Shipping weight 95 lbs.

Claus

Any photos of the "critical" spot?
Any welding involved or just cut and screw?
Thanks for the size!

You'll know what I'm talking about when you get under there. I just took my power saw and cut it three inches behind the catalytic converter like the instructions say. I did pull the entire exhaust out to do this as it was A LOT easier.

Thanks HomerJ good to know, I admit I was expecting a little more rumble.

Thanks for the heads up on removing the exhaust, it made it SO much easier!

Any chance they'd carry the cooper non-s version #16854. I did a quick search and couldn't find it.

Well I installed mine yesterday. I'm really surprised at how subdude it is. Does have a nice mellow tone. Not near as much sound as the magnaflow system on my Fiat Spider. Does feel a bit faster though. Do I need to disconect the battery to reset the ECU to get the best performance?

So, was it worth it?

Follow up...

I dont know if I have the weird clubman of the bunch, but my Magnaflow keeps hitting the below floor tunnel pan. I bent the back hangers up 3/4" to bring it up and it helped cure 50% of the clanking.

It doesn't matter how I turn, twist or tweak the pipes it still clanks going over bumps and rough roads. The only other solution I can see is to add some washers to the tunnel pan to bring it down a bit, But I feel that I shouldn't have to re-manufacture a product that should fit like OME.

Slopeslider like HomerJ said it will get a bit louder/deeper as you drive it, mine is already starting to deepen and get a bit more rumble.

Turn your center section, (the one with the resonator) so it's oriented like in the picture in the installation instructions.(bend goes toward the passenger side). Loosen all the clamps, then jack it up at the "Y" section. Retighten all the clamps. Let it back down.

HomerJ, I tried that several times, no good.

I ended up torching the Hanger flanges on the Catalytic pipe and bending them both down approx 1" which in turn brought the front of the exhaust up. This seems to have solved the clanking.

Tata,

I think it was worth it. It's starting get a bit more rumble. You can really hear the turbo. The magnaflow also looks pretty awesome from the rear.

TheMadDane,

I'm starting to get that rumble. Did you reset your ECU after installation?

No I didn't reset the ECU, didn't want to bother, I'll just wait for the car to figure out the new exhaust.
