mini coop:
I did run with the light on for a while there. I just got new tires on this week actually and had the shop I got the wheels from simply remove the sensors from my stock wheels and put them on the s-lites. It was a simple job for them and they only charged me $20 bucks to do it (basically the price to de tire a wheel.) So the TPMS can be put from R56 models to R53 an earlier wheels with no problems or extreme amount of work.

Hope that answered your question!

Thanks

Still the question lingers about the TPMS. Thanks for the response. You confirmed that s Lites fit any year even from a gen 1. Thats a big help. Thanks again.

..what question still lingers about the TPMS?

..it sounds like Scottquake confirmed that it was an easy switch with the monitors from wheel to wheel.

H&R Springs, ALTA 19mm rear sway bar & end links. What a tight ride. I love that I can see the bar through my 10 spokes.

Looks good Albie

..?'s: diy install, or have it done somewhere..& if so, do you mind if I ask how much labor charge?

..the drop doesn't seem extreme, so was camber adjustment needed or done?

Thanks, J&M. No DIY for me on this one - lack the skills and the tools, space, time...

I found a MINI/BMW Tech who does some work on the side. He installed the springs, front endlinks, rear bar and rear end links for $500. He also got me a set of strut mounts for $150. I don't consider that cheap, but he came highly recommended and I like the work he did. Finding someone good to work on my car is a pretty high priority and I'll be back to see him once I need brakes... He didn't adjust the camber - I'll get that done when I go in for an alignment this week. Not that it will really need it, but we'll see.

And it's not a drastic drop - but enough to settle the wheels close to the arches and that's what I wanted.

The H&R Springs are 1.4 inch, NM Springs are 1.2, and TSW Springs are 1.

Thanks, guys. Ever since I saw that pic of brandon h's, I've had this drooling problem. A little less so now.

J&M, I hear you on the $$$$$. My budget is is pretty tapped... a cold air intake would reeeeeaaaaaaally be nice though.

That looks killer, I'm sure, but what happens when you come to a speedbump or something?

Slow down and drive over it as intended

Haha... I had a feeling you might respond to that, Rally.

My thought was that, with the bumper being a foot or so in front of the wheel, the bumper doesn't start gaining ground clearance until it's a foot into the speed bump, and there are definitely speed bumps that aren't gradual enough to avoid hitting with that amount of ground clearance. Obviously, at SOME point, the ground clearance is too low to make it over speed bumps w/o scraping.
