Nicely done. My immediate thought after seeing it plain vanilla was that the side scuttles needed to be chrome - the black plastic just sticks out like a sore thumb - especially with chrome mirror caps.
And the RB’s are sweet, too. Great looking MINI Cooper!

Did a Resonator Delete and Sporting my Rally Door panels for the day. Posted the video to Youtube. Sounds great.

When I met with the dealer to place the order, I was told that they'd be charging !$80 labor! to install the blackjack scuttles so I purchased them elsewhere.I'd also intended to do the "S" gas cap but when I was given an estimate of "about $500-600" to paint the bezel and installation, not including the msrp price of the cap, I passed.

Smart move. Are they kidding? $80 for a 10 minute job? I’m pretty happy with my SA - he’s pretty up front about that stuff. About 3 months ago I had a weird, intermittent thumping noise coming from the right front. We spent about 25 minutes driving it (no noise) but he threw it up on the lift anyway. Everything looked fine - haven’t heard the noise again and he never charged me for the hour he took out of his day to check it out. That’s how it should always go.

where did you get this done at?
can you do a drive by video?
and one where you place the camera on the ground right behind the exhaust and then you drive away?

Outmotoring.com emailed back and said they have no idea when MINI will make a JCW Grill to fit the 2011 + MC. Interestingly enough, however, if you are building a MINI C and add the "JCW Aero Kit" under accessories it changes the grill. Surely there is a way to mod this and make it work with the stock bumper.
Anyhow - just what I discovered so far. T minus 4 weeks to my mini's arrival.

If your parts department isn't helpful, I've gotten lots of help from Colin at MINI of Ontario in California. He's always been willing to take the extra effort for me to see if a mod is possible and give me a good price. He can ship the part to you. http://www.miniofontario.com/MeetOurDepartments
http://www.realoem.com/bmw/index.do is a good place to find part numbers.

it is really hard to mod that bumper. They aare off by just a little. Look at the IPB and you will see that they are off by one number, but they can be modified its just tricky. I put a dual exhaust on my clubman and i had to mod the S bumper to my justa so it is possible. In england they are taking the justa to new levels. headers, extrem cool air intakes, and dual exhaust to just name a few.

Agreed!
BTW, here's a pic of my Cooper from last weekend at Roebling Road Raceway:

Track wheels, Dunlop Star Specs, and Vorshlag Camber plates = fun with Mustangs, BMW's, and Lotuses (Loti?).

I'd like to hear how it goes. I went to a local shop and was looking at a different Borla tip - slash cut but not rolled. It wouldn't work because of the bend that's in the OEM pipe after the muffler.

Besides being an awesome new race series, several of the MINIs will be running a new muffler bypass that is supposedly 'not too loud,' but gives the car a much more aggressive sound. The best part is that it will be relatively inexpensive.
So, I will be at the race, and it's one of the racers that developed it, so my plan is to work with him to get a side-by-side video of the race car and my stock exhaust so we can get an idea of the difference in sound. I'll also try to get an estimated cost, production timeframe, etc.
If anyone is interested, I'll keep you guys up to date.

Next weekend is the first race of the new Grand-Am B-spec series, which includes MINI Coopers, not S, not JCW... Cooper.
