Thanks - I agree!

I get the debadging, except for the fact that I'm proud to be a Straight Cooper owner and like that it lacks an "S".

My personal taste is to have chrome bits on a PW. To me, blacking out the door handles makes the handles more obvious. Same with the headlight and tail light rings - I've done the head light rings in PW and plan on doing the tail light rings next. I am thinking about de-chroming the belt line which would leave me with chrome door handles, boot handle, a bit on the current scuttles (which I'm going to be changing out for the JCW side scuttles) and lastly the badging.

Now, when it comes to joey modding a halogen head lamp, I'm not sure how that would look. The reflector part at the back of the headlamp has to remain reflective, I believe. Does anyone have a pick of a joey modded halogen head lamp?

BTW, I'm really liking how the exhaust tip fits so much more seamlessly into the new bumper.

Congratulations Walter!

"The Kid" looks awesome with the JCW parts.

Definitely one of the top Straight Coopers on this site…

And now, my friend, about that missing rear stripe….

Thank you, Pete. I knew it would only be a matter of time before someone brought up the stripe... It looks so clean now - I worry that the stripe may clutter it a little. I sense that it will happen eventually, but for now I've got to pause...

Yeah, right!

Winnie has rear stripes to match the front ones, and though I wanted the balance, I don't always like them. IMO, the boot looks better with Sport stripes... but I love the hood with the non-Sport stripes. So I understand your dilemma, Albie....

Haven't seen an attractive solution to this design problem yet.

And yes, The Kid has a GOOD LOOKING rear end... did I say that out loud?

Had my Milltek Exhaust installed yesterday.
I had to bend the mounts a bit and add a few washer-spacers in order to get the bracing to fit under the exhaust.

Im loving it! Definitely recommend to all Justas!

Love what you've done to that Straight Roadster. How 'bout some pics from different angles? Curious to see how low you've gone with the KW's.

And the Milltek looks great - I hear it sounds great, too. Really nicely done.

Koni Yellows went on yesterday. Small potholes, expansion joints and railroad tracks feel much better. At the middle setting, so to speak, and it feels a tad bouncy on cement highways so I may set it a little more firm. Overall, the car feels more consistent, if that makes any sense.

BTW - my stock shocks (sport suspension) were in decent shape. They had 75K on them, 35K of which were lowered miles.

I can't seem to stop modding although I looked at this as more maintenance than anything. I may have gone the coilover route if the Megans were in stock, but it would have led to rear lower control arms anyway and more money that I shouldn't be spending. The way the car feels now (especially after my commute today where some trouble spots felt sooooo much better) I'm pretty glad I went with the Koni's. Very nice feel.

Oh, and it is night time, RJ. Where are those pics?

She's certainly gained a stiffer pedal, love the noise it's more pronounced when you put your foot in it, I'm very impressed!!

Nice RJ. I've been looking at that intake tube... I've taped off my intake silencer so it's prolly close to that in terms of function - but that's a very clean look.

VIP's site shows two pics of that intake tube - one looks like yours and the other is more polished. I don't think the polished one is an illusion, either. Do you know anything about that? They only give you one option in the drop down box...

No Albie, I don't, mine was ordered from MiniMania when they were having their 15% off sale, I'll take a look though.

Exact same one Albie, look at the second picture, it is not "shiny", must be how it was photographed.
