i don't know much about cars,my mini is dying, the transmission is almost done and so is the engine,it only have 49000km,with the money for the transmission and fixing the engine,im thinking i should save up abit more and put another engine into the mini that is more reliable and can handle more power n torque

Seeing as you admit you don't know much about cars, I will tell you, an engine swap from a different manufacturer will be very expensive if you can not do the work and fabrication yourself. Very likely more than the cost of the vehicle. Think: motor mounts, physically fitting the engine, transmission, and mounting the driveshafts, adapting them to the MINI hubs, shifter linkages, possible changes to the cooling system, integrating the wiring harness/ECU and trying to get the MINI gauges to work, integrating cruise control, etc...
I would bet the Cooper S would have to be the easiest/cheapest swap, relatively speaking.

If you're dead set on going Honda powered, why not just go K series? you can get one as cheap as a B18C if not cheaper and it has already been done before by someone in Europe I believe makng about 400whp so there might be some helpful knowledge out there already. IMHO I agree with everybody else on just going with an S motor/trans and calling it a day. Just my .02

Piffle!
Jump in the deep end and go for it! But buy a beater car to drive around for the 1 year plus it will take to do the work. And you'll learn welding and wiring and everything there is to know about powertrains!
Matt
ps, it's a big job, but I wouldn't reccomend it as a starter project for someone who is new to working on cars.

And I bet after the swap....and working to get the gearing right on the tranny..you end up with much less relilability than you had, and a car that, while will draw a crowed at a MINI club meet, will likely be such a one off job, that sellng it is impossible, and getting someone to work on the car other than the person who built it would be very hard.
But if you have $15,000+ to spare, do it...if you do it your self...might be cheaper...not too much....it would involve replacing almost every system in the car....like Matt said....the guages....computer...and tons of improvision work....and lots of fabercation, welding.....you could be better off building a kit car!!! It would be faster, and much eassier!!
