You should not have any problems, there are a few posters here from Seattle, and I am down in Carolina that when it rains it comes down fast and hard. I do not drive thru any puddles. Remember where the intake is also it is a better place that the R50 was. Which was at the front closer to the inlet and did have problems.

i live in seattle, when it rains its more like a constant drizzle. we don't usually get downpours like everyone pictures. i haven't had a single problem with the intake, except for going too fast so i can hear the wonderful noise. also like aquasar says, the placement of the intake is somewhere that water doesn't reach easily. i guess if you drive into a huge puddle, then you might get some water up there but then again you shouldn't be driving into giant puddles anyways.

How is the installation? I have a few friends who claim they know how to instal it, and i also work at a dealership, but none of them have any experience with mini. Does this matter?

Im very very very picky with my car!

Unless there is someone in the Vancouver area who can help and or recommend someone...would be great!

The installation was pretty simple. The instructions provided are ok. Wish, they had more pictures though.

Im very picky with my mini as well. Read the instruction few times before you or a friend decides to install. If you get stuck somewhere, message me. I finished insatlling mine just yesterday and its awesome!!!

Intake arrived and installed! Sounds awesome, love the low growl.

Now if only I can get that same growl tone louder!

Any suggestions?

Nope, only using the sport button with the windows open, noise is only there while excelerating, it goes down when cruising.
