Third brake light camo:
Since I had to take out the light to install the Pulsar, I wanted to do this. I stopped by a tinting and graphics shop, asked for a little bit (have to emphasize LITTLE) of white screen for graphics over windows. Since this town is full of nice people, they gave me a 3 lineal inches.
First of all, I was shocked how crappy my light looks! The reflector looks streaked and dirty, the black gasket glue looks like crap, and some cracks developed on the edge of the lens. For being under the wing, I'm just surprised how the sun has trashed it.
I shaved off the raised lettering, sanded to 3200 grit wet-sand paper so no bubbles would happen. The screen was cut way oversize, carefully laid onto the lens, scissor cut about 1/4" away from the housing edge. Used a blow drier to get the edges to stick. Took a new Xacto blade and sort of guilotine cut the excess off, and small cuts on the ends.
When it goes back to drought, and Swifty is washed, I'll take a better picture of just this.

Geek evolution:
Eric! You can paint the screen (they print graphics on it...d...d...DUH!)
I grabbed some scrap, spray painted, and ta da! Light mists (not the poopy spurt I had) will prevent paint pooling in the holes.
Tried it on a sidelight. No comments on the filthy car.
And further back:
Seems like an easy mod.
And about 100 times faster than doing this:

Great thread! Cool ideas.
I really like the evolution of the brake light mesh cover idea onto the side lights! While I know it would increase our price, if one of the resident graphic companies sold these pre-cut and colored for a reasonable (cheap!) price I bet they would sell.
With a PW roof, it will be difficult for me to do the brake light mod without a custom color order.

Good idea.
I see you are a "boss." Why can't a club get a big sheet of this screen, cut to oversize each light, spraypaint with touch up paint (will it crack is the question), and all the club members (who choose to be "with us" ) can do this? I also thought of asking the sign shop to print colors on a sheet, would not be exact but no painting.

bonsaimini - the easiest way to remove the letters w/o damaging the paint is with dental floss.
