Squeaks, rattles and lighting mystery

Ever since the dealer replaced my fuse panel, I've noticed a rattle/squeak coming from what appears to be the base of the a-pillar, near the lower speaker, where the a-pillar and dash meet. I thought it might be the right side a/c vent rubbing the door panel, and I placed some dynamat there, no change. Maybe it's felt beading that goes between glass and dash, but if anyone's been down this road, let me know some tricks I can try. I don't think the dealer work may have altered anything north of the glove box or kick panel area below, so it's odd.

Second question - Mini was closed up and in the garage overnight. Headlight stalk switch set to auto, so it's only lighting up when the car is on, in the darkness. When I walked into the garage, without touching the door handle, the lower lights (parking) were ON! I never saw this happen before. Jumped in, checked the position of the switch, confirmed it was set for Automatic, and not parking lights, and turned the switch to the full off position. No idea whether it was gremlins or just an anomaly. Anyone else have this happen before?

Thanks.

Yep, and the rear taillights were lit up too. Very odd.

Do you have comfort access as well??? Maybe there is something wrong with the light sensor, if you have it in the garage and it was fairly dark the sensor turned on the lights when you hit the unlock button. (This is a wild guess). Take it to the dealer for the squeaking noise and ask them to check it out. My MCS does not have this feature but my old X3 3.0i had it and to my recollection it turned on the lights when I pressed the unlock button when it was dark.
