Ivan Be Damned

It looks like Ivan will impact our weather this weekend. I just wanted to say that regardless of how crappy the weather gets, I will still be hosting the breakfast at Tate. I hope you all still come to both the breakky and dinner.
Our house is open to all, tho' the hubby will be racing our WRX in the AM.
Hey, if worse comes to worse, we can all just hang out and watch movies.
If you get really bored, I could drag out my slides from Africa...

Anyhoo...I just wanted to say that these events are rain or shine!

I will be there in the morning. What time is the event? Do you need any help?

So far, the Nat'l Weather Service is predicting a chance of showers. Hopefully it won't be worse than that!

(But if it is, save a spot on the couch, and I'll bring the chips! )

-Paul!

(BTW - Dunno what's going to be at the breakfast this time, but the Krispy Kreme in No. Va. (one that actually makes the donuts in-house) is on my way to Tate. If y'all want me to stop and pick up a few dozen, say the word!)

Ivan-Smivan.... I'll be there rain or shine... might skip if there's a flood though... no need to re-enact Richmond any day soon!

We once did a rallye in Chicago that drove through a small lake-effect blizzard... didn't stop us! Of course, we are crazy in Chicago... heck, I'm a Cubs fan -- that should tell you everything!

Now I'm homesick... Nice new friends here in DC, but I miss my old friends and my folks...

cool..I'm glad you guys are coming. I'm going to have fab treats from the Amish Market for a change of pace. Maybe next breakfast will be a KK fest.

I plan on getting there between 9 and 9:15. Thanks for the offer amica, but I think I can handle it.

There won't be any flooding where I live, so come on down!

yay! I'm looking forward to Saturday. Rain or shine, we'll have fun

I'll be up there too, baring flooding. Probably around 10:00 am.

I'll be there unless the rain starts to push my mini away.

What time is the breakfast again?

I'll be getting there around 9:15.

Here's the "menu" so far:

2 or 3 kinds of breakfast "breads" from our local Amish market. These are handmade fresh daily, and are fabulous. I'll prolly do their Peach Crumble, Cinnamon Swirl, and maybe one other. Sticky buns are also a possibility.

I'll have low acid OJ and apricot nectar. Coffee will be available from the dealership.

Sounds awesome! I appreciate the OJ, I don't drink hot coffee.
