Ahhh, I had started reading that thread a couple days ago, but thought it was mod related, and I'm trying to avoid mods atm, as there are some that have made it onto my list, even though I've said I'm done.

When I was tearing apart my MINI the other day, I needed to take off my shift ****. I opened up my sunroof and everything, and prepared to pull like I was trying to yank out my transmission through the car. But, it popped off with surprisingly little force!

Now the CVT shifter on the other hand... you gotta pull until you're sure you're about to break something, then pull twice as hard as that!

Yeah, when I replaced my shift boot on my CVT, I pulled so hard that I thought I was going to bust something alright... every blood vessel in my head.

The second time I pulled the shift **** off, I was a litttttttttle too close to the shifter and when it came loose, I popped myself on the lip so hard, I had a cut inside my lip. Youch ! I was proud of myself for only saying 3 cuss words.

shift **** removal

Try crossing your arms and you won't have to open the sunroof or hit yourself in the chin

you should just get a normal non engraved one first and when you're ready to customize it, you can send it to doug and have it engraved for a little fee instead of buying a new one
that's what i did. he even change my polished one to a brushed/beadblasted one.
He also has excellent excellent customer service..

Thank you everyone, I've just got one of the Whalen with mini logo on it. It's a gift from my friend. I love it so much and you are right, I have to wear grove in the morning. It's so cold by touching it..........
I will try to come up with some design and get a custom made one.
