Black Wow Trim Cards
#28
Ken I used your idea and bought a laminating machine. It's slow as molasses, and after doing a number of tests, realized that I would have to precut the Curve on the card before doing the lamination otherwise it will delaminate over time if you cut the card up past the laminated edge. At a rate of maybe 5 an hour, I don't think I'll be doing these in mass quantity any time soon.
Good idea though--maybe in time, I can use a commercial service to make it more feasible.

Well they have different machines--cold laminations and hot ones--I got the hot one thinking it might be more durable. But it takes like a minute to feed it in, then it's super hot and has to be cooled down, and not something you can just start to feed and walk away, otherwise it goes askew. So I found I can feed it about 50% of the way then do something else.
Oh man, Ken you're just so full of ideas---hahaha. Another great idea--but don't expect me to come back and say--it's all done! That'll be put on the back burner for now.

Do what I did, take some paper and slip it between the arch and body panel and trace it. lol. The arch isn't a perfect circle so it won't be completely accurate throughout, but I took the measurements off the top of the arch and it fits over most of the major curves.
