How do I remove Rain-X?
Last week I detailed my car and thought I'd get fancy and put Rain-X on my windshield.
It works fine when it's actually raining. But here in Georgia it doesn't just rain. It gets hot, sticky, muggy, and generally crappy. When that happens, I get a white film on the windshield that's hard to see through - especially at night.
A flick of the wipers takes the film away, but it comes back in seconds. I've tried the defroster with the a/c on, just the vent defoster (a/c off), heated defroster air...nothing works.
Any advice on how to remove this stuff? And once I get it off, is there something else that has the same effect as Rain-X in the rain without the smearing?
Thanks.

At your grocery store look for a product called "Barkeepers Friend" it's a powder glass cleaner that will make your glass cleaner than you thought possible without doing any harm.
Instead of RainX i've been using Castrol AccuVision. It works as well in the rain, easier to apply and no annoying film or starbursts.
