Mid Ohio is a little bit too much of a drive for me from CT especially for a one day event. I would like to consider doing that next year, perhaps along with some tracks around the Chicago area.
Now, I have gone and done it...signed up for my 1st track day of 2011 4/30, trackmasters at WGI. My season has officially started. See you there. Now to get my mods done now where did I put that Hemi?

Once you go to Mid-Ohio, you'll want to go again and again...you've been warned. Thankfully, it's just an easy 4-hour drive for me....
I hear you about the driving, though.....many moons ago I would drive the 8 hours to Tremblant for a weekend event. I'd track all day Saturday and Sunday, load up the car and drive right home after the event. I'd get home and literally fall out of the car at like 2 am; those days are gone.

I would tell you that I do not need too much arm twisting to head there.
No way for me to do that kind of schedule. Those days are long gone for me too.

Not far behind you on this.
Did a quick count, I cannot believe that I already have 15 track days at wgi alone. I have the greatest number of days at LRP.
Looks like my AST is set to arrive tomorrow via UPS (you coming to my place s-driver?)
Install some time middle-end of March. Then fix my CV in early April. Track tune up and misc wrenching at Eddie's garage in April. Then I am ready to go to TM!

Wouldn't mind coming up and saying "Hello"... much better than dealing with the lunatics at my building!

Got an Email from Trackmasters. It looks like the 2 day student events need to be signed up as 2 day events. You can't just do one day. So it looks like I am stuck having to 2 days at WGI Saturday and Sunday.

I will be working on my Mini in mid April (15th?). You're welcome to come up.

Tax day, I guess I will be there but I need to confirm later.
I got my ASts. They look tiny. Springs are perhaps 6" in length.
Got an e-mail from TM as well, they are willing to do a OT check during the novice school. But if I fail I am on the way home because they do not want me polluting the young and eager minds in novice school.
I could cycle through two or three new gf's by the end of April, you know. I'll probably hit the Glen in September. Checking my schedule, I happen to have that Friday thru Monday off. Hmm.....

Sounds good to me. We will have s-driver, Eddie and perhaps a b-day newbie in Minis there.

Awesome! Glad you contacted them as I wouldn't have thought they'd do that. We'll have fun for sure tearing up the Glen...
VV - Would be great if you could also check out for OT.
Slinger - I can give you a brief lesson on the OT requirements they'll be looking for if your interested.
I don't get it. Drive all the way to the Glen and only do 2 out of 3 days? What's up with that?
Huh??? Now we're talking smack about only doing two days?? Tire's only last so long when you beating the snot out of them... Slicks have a much shorter life span than treaded tires and the sets I have are already used. I'll probably be starting the event on the NItto's (if I don't kill them at LRP w/ NASA) and Gary is bringing my extra set with him.
Plus I'm trying to minimize costs here guy's.....that's $280 less I have to spend plus 2 tanks of 93!
