Anybody thinking about signing up for LRP with SCDA on Monday, August 22nd? It would be nice to have some MINI company in the paddock if I end up going…
Hey, veggi great to hear from you and glad to hear you are thinking about getting out.
While I would love to join you I will be just getting back from a couple of days at WGI.
I also have just signed up for a day at LRP on 9/10.
Eddie07S - where do you purchase your Carbotech brake pads?
Way Motors carries the Carbotechs for stock applications. He may be able to get them for the Wilwoods. If not you could try AutoXcooper. AutoX has gotten them for me. Go to the Carbotech site they will give a list of dealers.

Here is a handy application guide for different levels of brake pad effectiveness and durability:
Talking about LRP, anyone knows the dba of your exhaust. I have a feeling my car is too loud for the track.
I put an Ividia 300 exhaust on my previous MINI and recorded about 95 db in 1st gear. Then I took it to LRP and had them check it and it was barely above the tire noise at 82 db when I was at speed. If you have a cat-back with mufflers you should be ok. You can always contact them and set up a test time and they will go out with you and check it. For free.
Back to the track…signed up for Lime Rock on Tuesday, September 13th. Half day affair, from 1-5, with same amount of track time as a full day. Hope to see some other MINIs there!
Veggi - we just seem to be missing each other. I am signed up for the 10th with Patroons. I've looked at those half day event and they look like a great way to go, especially for those of us who day-trip it. Hope you have a great time.
Maybe ill sign up as a volunteer to the Patroons Even at LRP.
It is worth a try. They try to make it worth your while by giving credit to your next event with them. If they are already set with volunteers, think about stopping in and see how they do things.
