One more track day this season, Lime Rock Park on Oct 30, saturday. It is a half day event only in the afternoon. So far, I think Veggivet and I will be going. Any other Minis going?

At the very least I will be there to spectate - I still haven't persuaded myself to run it since it's now time to start saving for next year! I have the second week of April '11 off so I'm hoping to get in an early event at LRP, with whatever club.

My neighbor (Mr EVO) is thinking of attending the Oct 30th event also - I believe you talked with him at Monticello. He's now in Advanced as well so that could be 4 of us out there.. All the MINI's trying to stay with the Evo!!

Yes, he came by to introduce himself. Nice guy.

Yes, he is with us in advance now. Looking forward to running with him at LRP.

Why don't you run since you will be there?

I don't mind the rain at Monticello, but Lime Rock doesn't have nearly the amount of cushion if you make a mistake. I hope it's dry and not too cold for the R comps. Mr. Evo was at Lime Rock on the 14th, and he is VERY fast. I think he lapped me twice one session. There's no way any of us can keep up with him, even S-driver.

Yeah, his cars are very quick! I've driven that EVO and his newer EVO X and they are crazy fast...

Fast car and good driver. That is a great combination. No chance for us Minis. Looks like we will be eating dust on Saturday.

Forgot to mention, anyone meet up with Porsche Bob in his white 997 at any recent event? At Monticello, his young kid student with a massive HP muscle car hit the barrier when he was instructing. I talked to him after and he was a little peeved.

Didn't see him at the last Lime Rock date. Maybe he'll be there next Saturday.

Humm. Hope he did not OD on too many track days. Last time I spoke to him, he was already over 60 days this year.

Half day for $345 seems a little pricy...besides it is only for experienced drivers only...Have fun

Have not heard much from orangecrush (Mark) since he has is car going again. He says he has a track day coming up in Nov. I am courious how it does with the larger front sway bar. Seems like the added roll stiffness should be good...

Its the same amount of track time, just done in a 1/2 day.

No sure if he can tell what is what given the amount of mods on his car.

You run once every third session. LRP is generally gentler on brakes than say Monticello. Remember at wgi, we were running once every two sessions.

Use the brakes prudently.

Lime Rock really has only one hard braking zone, at the entrance to Big Bend. Other corners just need a quick tap to settle the car. With temps predicted to be around 50 by afternoon, I don't think brake temps will be an issue. Getting R-comps up to temp may be a different story, though. There's still room for more MINI's! Come on out to the last track day of the season!

SCDA site says the event is sold out now so I will just bring my stuff in case I'm feeling like trying to run...

Otherwise that could be $345 towards the transformation (possibly ) of the MINI.....

just got a note from Porsche Bob. He says he is not going to LRP on Oct 30. He just got back from 2 days at wgi and 3 days at summit.

Looks like the weather may be Sunny. Finally can break out the r-comps.

BTY - How are your new BBKs working out on the track? With R-comps you should be able to give them a test, even if there is only one braking zone .

Two track days so far on the TCE plus 3 bbks. I think they work fine, seems like lots more consistency. I do not like the Polymatrix B pads so I just bought the CT XP10s. Too abrupt with too little feel for modulation for my taste. First day out on those CTs this Saturday.
