If only it was that easy! According to Mapquest it's 2726.03 miles one way.
Damn all you West-coasters; that includes you, ALTA.

HEY, I don't mind driving down to DC! Only 90 miles away and I was just there a couple weeks ago visiting a friend at GWU. Plus I'm just that desperate... I'm going to check with Philly MINI as well.

I have installed yesterday the Alta FMIC on my mini and its awesome..
By the way a note for Alta's people.I dont if you already know it but the european mini has a shorter bumper beam and it doesnt need the supplied trim.
If i found a photo without the bumper i will send it so you can see the difference..

Hey Alta, is there any shot at getting a black intercooler?

http://www.perrinperformance.com/products/show/382

I imagine there would be a market for this since a lot of people are blacking their cars out.

YES! They are in production right now. Ask the sales team for an update on when. Should be about $50-75 more and available ASAP!

Sorry I can't be more upt to date. I am at home!

And mine came without the alta logo.If you like there is a sticker provided by alta, you place it on the IC you spray with black sprayer then remove the sticker and there you go..

I'm guessing the core is around 18width x 7height x 2 or 2.5 deep..just a wild guess...

Thanks for the answer...but....I found somewhere the dimension of the oem intercooler and i write here:

Large: 28
height: 7
deep: 2,75

If i look at the photo of the Alta's and the oem's intercooler, I think that the dimension you give me are wrong...or are my dimension wrong???

The large must be the same....the deep of Alta's must be the half of the OEM...and the height of the Alta's must be a little more than the double of the OEM's...

Is it wrong???

LoL! That big alta "sticker" wasn't actually a sticker to go across your windshield? I didn't notice it was a stencil for the IC. (heck took awhile to realize it even said alta on it - I thought it was just cardboard to protect the IC during shipment at first)

actually..i took the OEM intercooler off.. the CORE itself (not inlet to inlet) is:
23.75" wide and 3.5" tall and the depth is 2.5"

from inlet side to inlet side its 28.25"

hope that helps...

remember..the core is the actual cooling part, not from where the tube goes in (inlet to inlet)...
that's again why I say the alta core is probably about 18" given 4-5" on each side if you look at the pic.. It's roughly 9" max on the car for a tight fit, so the alta is probably between 7-9" max for height..and there isn't much room for depth after 7" i believe, so a 2.5" depth intercooler core would fit, any larger than 7" or 2.5 is pushing it...

Well, I took advantage of the holiday yesterday and installed my ALTA Intercooler. Nice quality, especially over the stock one. The install took me 2 hours, not too bad. I will post pics soon!
