Contracts are signed, units built, packaging getting completed, etc. but none of that compares to the first time you lay the hammer down your car with this in it. Now I have the complete ALTA catalog on the car (engine wise) and that felt quick. This is a HUGE leap forward from that. Throttle response is crisp and quick. Boost builds at a tremendous rate, the DSC can hardly keep up and I am SURE I need a new set of front tires after my brief drives around tonight. Running 18psi will make the turbo even hotter, right? Then FMIC will be a must (almost) for ECU upgrade I guess. How much $$$ are we talking here on the ECU upgrade? Can you go back to stock version if you choose to later on?

18 PSI, is that with the ECU tune? How much horsepower do you get from that alone?

Thanks

What's the stock boost rating anyway? Why do I need a boost guage btw? It's not like I will lift up the gas pedal when the boost gets too high.

Thanks folks. I am hoping to have an official press release approved ASAP for publication to answer all of the questions. Again, I still see Nov. 1st as being the launch date with shipments leaving to clients within a week.

Hope that helps! Chat soon!

PS: My neck sure is sore from trying to hold it off the headrest under acceleration. Gotta get a massage or something today!

Mine (w/ the Alta TBE & Intake) caps out @ 15psi.

Adam & the Alta gang: Great work getting this (and every other part for this car) out so fast!

The sore neck muscle might be stretching it a little. But it must be very noticeable. That's a good sign because JCW engine kit gets a mixed review of not noticeable change, somewhat noticeable, to I love it... Now, if we can compare the prices....

The factory also states that with overboost the torque is 192, but since boost is higher at 13.6psi, that also means that HORSEPOWER should be higher than 172hp. Any idea how much more?

Maybe that is why the Mini S dynos at 172WHP, because of the overboost?
