Views on MSD Coil Pack and Best Plug Wires

Hi,

Just trying to find out whether the Stock ignition coil pack is the best or whether the MSD is the best to use, and what are the best Plug Wires to use. As in Brand. Thanks in advance.

The stock and the MSD are rated the same voltage......but it is RED ! (that's why I have one..... )

Unless you want the bling factor now, wait to replace the wires until needed

Kingsborn wires are highly regarded and come with a heat resistant sleeve.

When i bought my 03 used it had Live wires and the MSD coil. The live wires conections rusted out/corroded but the MSD has not given me any problems. As far as performance i doubt it however I do not know what a stock mini feels like anyways since mine had a bunch of aftermarket on it already.

I agree with minimusprime & scolburn79
the Stock ignition coil pack is the best
and OEM wires too.
Save you mod money for something that makes s difference unless your into color coordination.
connections rusted out/corroded
Had corrosion with the OEM wires and coil terminals and now it's happening again with after market wires on an OEM coil. I used dielectric grease when I installed them not that long ago, guess I didn't use enough to keep moisture out.
First hint is static in sync with engine speed at idle while tuned into a weak AM radio station, check your coil connections you'll most likely find corrosion on the terminals.

I just recently found a tiny bit of what looks like rust on the wire terminals where they meet the coil. I guess this is NOT normal!? Can it be fixed with dielectric grease, or do the wires need replacement?

Just clean the contacts and lube it up good with the grease.
