I vote we start a letter writing campaign to get Sport Compact Car Magazine to start another MINI project car. They are really good at comparative testing
and are a neutral party.

4-pages?

I purchased a 5000k experienced Madness CAI w/ cowl mod and cleaning kit from the NAM marketplace . . Good deal. Thanks Z-Man.

I'll post what I think about it after I install it next weekend.

Yeah, but most of it was just pointless bickering...

Good luck with your new intake! Just the extra noise alone is worth it!

Used is the right way to go...

or make your own.

But now you have the swing of it...

And 4 pages of total useless pissing in the pot is nothing compared to most of the R53/R56 threads....

I guess it's all relative...

As a new member looking for info I found this thread a bit discouraging.

This thread is at the end of its life . . . it's a bit windy but if two newbees (you and me) can learn from its occurence . . . I think it has value.

We have entered a new "community" and need to respect the fact that there are many that have been here a long time and have hammered out a process.

All we can ask is that we receive the same respect (and patience) as newbees because we don't know all the rules (written and unwritten)

What info are you looking for?

I'm pretty sure 'answer' is here:

I wasnt looking for info on a CAI per se. I dont own a mini yet. I was just reading through the site looking for general info. It was the reception given to a fellow new member I found discouraging.

Yeah, it happens.
Happens more often when someone asks an open ended 'best' question.

As difficult to answer as what the 'best' flavor of ice cream is.

That looks great. Do you have a how-to on another thread?

Any box with a top will be quieter than one without one, FYI.
