Soon...

No, really .

After next week I will be posting a bunch of details. Stay tuned (I know, I know - two more weeks ).

I appreciate all of the patience you have had with the ongoing process on this system.

We have all been waiting for so so so looooooonnnnnnng.

But I know RandyBMC would not post a lovely picture of the famous UUC exhaust unless it was in fact about to happen.

So thanks for the heads up and we look forward to some dyno numbers and a review. I really like the looks of the UUC.

It's like jewerly that makes noise!

As a mere spiteful observer of this whole saga, I have to admit that I'll be pleased if the UUC dynos at around 2 or 3 extra hp.

Don't hold your breath.

I've been waiting for a replacement shift **** since May.

Have you heard these before:

"It's in production..."
"Two more weeks..."

UUC has lost about 1500 dollars worth of purchases from me in the last couple months. I've taken my business elsewhere.

Yes-I know about the wait.
That is why I have a Momo shifter and a Quicksilver exhaust.
I still really like the look of the UUC. Hope it performs so I can put it on my next MINI. Maybe a convertible MCS!

Randy,

Have been waiting all summer to add this upgrade. I guess I can wait a couple more weeks. Thanks for the update.

Peace Out

Looks a tad similar to a Borla sport....at least the mufflers do.

The borla sport is quite different in the angles of how the tail pipes exit the cylindrical mufflers.

A good example of a much more straight through design- less ninety degree angle bends to the pipes. Note how many pieces there are! Lots of places for leaks!

Also, I'm looking at the picture and I'm seeing 3 pieces. The borla sport is a veritable erector set with six!

and if I'm not mistaken there are a few right angles there as well.

Randy,

How is the design of the muffler? Is it baffles, or is it a bent preforated pipe?

Thanks
Dan

Dan: historically, UUC uses perforated pipe in their BMW muffler designs. This does not mean that the MINI system is of similar specification, however.

I must say, UUC always has a great talent for making beautiful looking and sounding exhausts!

Cheers,
Ryan

Hi Randy,

Did I miss the $-SRP of the UUC somewhere? What do you expect the cost to be?

Thanks,
Todd

We have asked and RandyBMC doesn't yet know the price on the UUC.
I'm sure he will provide us with the needed info if and when the long lost product arrives.

The thing on many vs less pieces is- who is assembling the exhaust. Someone that knows exhausts or someone who doesn't? Just be sure you choose the former because with so many parts there is more "potential" for hassles. Your results may vary.

UUC has a history of good looks and great sound in exhausts but we are also interested in some good dyno numbers and a great price which are maybe the more important numbers.

I just got off the phone with UUC and they said that they are pricing their system somewhere between $700 and $800. Translation means betweeen the Borla (street price) and the Quicksilver. Further, they said they WOULD be ready this week, so hopefully that will happen. It looks like a great system!

If I find out anything else I will post it here.
