I know its recommended to change to a colder heat range when doing the stage 1 upgrades. Ive been searching and have found that most people switch to ngk br7eix, but I was wondering if br8eix were fine to run? A store has those locally so it would be easy to pick them up. Not sure if outside temperature has any effect considering the heat the combustion creates anyways, but I live in southwest florida where 90+ degree weather is normal not to mention 80% humidity.
So my question is, are br8eix safe to run with a 15% pulley intake and oneball?
Definitely go for the colder plugs as ambient air temp is a concern. Many would also suggest you get a set of the JCW OEM NGK plugs. Fairly inexpensive and available online at NGK.com

Unless you are running extreme mods such as nitrous and or twin charged, br8eix (two steps colder) would be unecessary. Br7eix is one step colder and appropriate for yours (and my) mods...
Jan told me to use the NGK BKR8E1X gapped at .028 and we have those mods
I dont know a ton about spark plugs, is the gap something i should be worried about, say i go to an auto parts store for some NKG's and say i need some for an 02 MCS one step colder, will they just know what i am looking for, and is there something i have to do to have it gapped right?

I am no spark plug expert either but I can tell you that I had the NGK BKR7EIX-11 which are pre gapped at .045. I was having pinging issues and notice that Jan was saying to gap at .028. I gapped at .035 and it took care of the pinging issues but it doesnt seem as snappy for some reason.

I am swapping out my plugs and Gnaster suggested the ones being discussed and referenced a .045 gap.
