Exhaust Depot

I have begun looking at the turbo back 3 inch exhaust with cat from Exhaust Depot. Does anyone have any comments on their products, service or on the particular exhaust I am considering.

Thanks

I've had the catless system on my r56 for at least 400 miles...sounds, feels, drives great.

As far as exhaust depot comes along Hector's a pretty stand up guy and he knows his stuff. I don't believe he sleeps so any questions will probably be answered rather quickly.

My fiances car is the catted one....leaves only the first cat replacing the rest with 3" piping all the way to the magnaflow muffler. Sounds great as well, holds a bit more boost throughout the range as well so power is obviously there.

Anyways, any other ?'s let me know

No knock to Alta as they have a pretty good product, but the reasons I went the other route were:

Too quiet for my taste. I wanted a less restrictive exhaust, I don't believe 2 cats a resonator and a muffler is freeing up much flow.

And the most important matter as usual is $$$$$$$$$. Not because I'm cheap just because honestly I don't think those pieces are worth $1600+...Yes they are polished and yes they have 400 dpi catalytics but I can't still justify spending that type of cash on an exhaust system.

So I think for about $1200 I was able to do both turboback exhaust and the best part was to my specifications. The muffler I wanted, no cats on mine. (no engine light BTW).

I went with Exhaust Depot cant give you any results yet as its being made. But, for the price you cant beat it.

Hector is a stand up guy answered all my questions in true down to earth talk. No tell you this so I can charge you this crap that you so frequently get these days.

Is using 1 cat as opposed to 2 OK in CA? I was considering the 3" downpipe with 1 cat in polished steel and 3" exhaust polished steel. Seems to most closely resemble the ALTA Turbo Back Exhaust.

by the way, what is a resonator? does the Alta unit have that?
