Clutch Effort

I just drove a 2005 MCS that belongs to a buddy of mine. I own a 2003 MCS and the first thing I noticed was that the clutch effort in his car is waaaay less than mine. Anybody know if there were engineering changes to the clutch or could there be something wrong with mine? Any ideas appreciated.
Thanks
Warren
