Installing an M7 AGS Help Needed
All:
I recently purchased a v.3 M7 Air Gain System and would like to install it on my 05 MCS. Unfortunately, it didn't come with an install guide (I bought it used) and M7 doesn't have any information for me to help install it.
I'm looking for ANY help... photos of one installed, advice on installing, line drawings done with Paintbrush, the name of someone in VA that I could pay to install it....I'm game for anything. Of course, a copy of the original install guide would be the best, but hey...
If you can help, please do!
Thanks
Dave

the fit of the AGS is not good . You need to allow clearance between the AL tube and the Fan. I did that by hammering the crap out of the tube to make it fit without damaging the fan or the tube itself. Make sure you have the extension wire and some RTV to seal the joints... otherwise it will leak like a motha....
I'm guessing that due to price and difficulty in manufacturing a part that fits nicely to our MINIs, M7 stopped production, but this is just a guess . I can tell you straight that the only difference you get from the AGS over other CAI in the market is the awesome sound and a whole can of worms
cheers

From: Camano Island, WA, but wish was still Oahu, Hawaii
Steve helped me as well. Instead of beatin on the AGS, I put to aluminum spacer plates to move the entire radiator assembly out 1/8" (or was it a 1/4"??) to make it fit. Front bumper doesn't quite line up with the fenders, but I don't mind.
The 4 bolts (2 each side) infront that hold the bumper on is where I put the spacers. Just got 1" wide aluminum from home depot, cut down to size and drilled holes. Simple fix for the clearance.
