Another turbo-back exhaust bites the dust
Alta turbo-back exhaust + P0420 + P0141 = back to stock exhaust.
Very quick recap - after 14 months and a few thousand miles with my Alta turbo-back exhaust, I start getting the CEL ... originally with the P0420 code, then with a fix from Alta tech support, the P0141 code starts tripping the light and the P0420 code is no longer present.
So I ask Alta tech service if they have a fix for the P0141 code, and I was told that they have plans for an engine 'tune' will be available soon that fixes the problem (my words, not his). Of course that's at an additional charge.
Anyway, so I'm ripping off the complete exhaust system and installing the stock system. What a PITA. I'm not really ranting, more just getting information out about the potential pitfalls of aftermarket turbo-back exhausts on these cars.
Cheers,
Jeff
