Alta BOV installation

I am looking to install the M7 Super AGS, Alta cold boost tube and the Alta BOV today, but after reading the installation for the BOV i am not sure i'm very comfortable with the tapping and other areas of installation that can cause harm. 2 part question: Anyone install it themselves; opinions please? and after installing the other products is it going to be a pain to come back and install the BOV? I'm going to try and call tech support at Alta but i'm not sure if they are open on saturday. Any input would be greatly appreciated...this way i can start working on my mini

The best input for the alta bov is the alta boost port..
With that one you dont have to drill and tapp the manifold..I believe its the best way..

I have already installed the m7 super ags and the alta boost tubes and its better to fit all these at the same time..

Hope i helped you

I'd go with the DDM Race Intake System instead! It's much less intrusive on your engine bay and it works just as well.

I have the boost port, but i am not clear as to where that plays a role in installation. I read the instructions and i plan on reading them a few more times before i do anything. And what is the best plan of attack for installing the BOV, super AGS and cold boost tube?

The boost port is used to tap the neg boost to controll the dump valve so tapping wont be an issue. The aprts you have bought are like lego. they go where they fit and are pretty self explainatory. Just unbolt your Map sensor put the boost port underneith then bolt it all back up adding the mods as you go.

I have the Helix 13 BOV and it's very similar to Alta's setup. I don't have any CELs from the setup either.

YAY for un-tapped intake manifolds!

i had it installed with the block off plate and it totally sucked...caused the yellow engine(reduced power) problem..i took off the block off plate and have it with the stock surge valve, no problems and a sweet pshhhh. sucks installing it tho, its by the firewall next to the intake manifold, so people with bigger hands have some trouble lol

I hope the pictures help. I had to resize them in order to fit, but i'll try and put a link to photo bucket with them at their normal size.

Hey goats,

Thanks for the pics. They're big enough for me to get the idea I have the same boost tube and BOV on the way, so I guess I'll see it in person in a couple of weeks anyway.

Whoa! They got bigger!

Does the BOV rub on the firewall? If so, do you get vibrations and such?

I remember it was against the firewall at first but i can't remember if i was able to get it off. If i did, the clearance is only millimeters. really tight fit. But no vibrations.
