It's made by Craven Speed. They sell it as a kit (cradle, arm, and bracket). They're sold out of the cradle for three weeks though. I ended up getting the cradle from Moss, and the "R" bracket from Craven.

It's $99.00 as a kit from Craven http://http://www.cravenspeed.com/in...&productID=275. A little pricey, but it's a nice powder-coated aluminum piece. Not to mention the fact that it's a nice clean looking install IMO.
For those of you on the Backorder list, the new batch of ScanGauge cradles will be shipping early next week. Look for the Gen 2 kits to be the first FlexPod items to ship with the yet to be released aRc Bracket. There will be info on http://theflexpod.com about them soon.

I thought about mounting it on the dash, as the ones I've seen like that look good too, but I also want to use it as a scan tool for more than one car. I think the Velcro would be a hassle if it's not left in one spot permanently.
99 bucks for the whole kit isn't too bad. I thought it was 99 for the bracket and then you had to buy and arm and then another piece for the gauge too....

I'm going to order one from Craven. I want to call them up and see if I can what options they have for iphones too. Looking at their catalog, I got a little confused as to why there are so many options.

Super Klutz strikes again. After staring hard and often, I finally spotted one extra number in the MTH coding. Corrected that and AFR is now holding steady at 14.6-14.7 except when backing down when it goes to ~19.0. This is with a not fully warmed engine. If I remember right, 14.7:1 is the ideal AFR for a gas engine. This could be a dandy way to keep an eye on the state of tune. You get three Atta Boys for this one! Thanks much . - DW

I just installed a Scangauge in my R56 and would like to know if anyone has figured out if an Oil Pressure readout is available to program.

I just put the Cravenspeed holder on and it rocks. The scanguage is way better now that it is in a good position. I got it from Moss Motors, those guys are great

Do these new boost and fpr gauges only apply for R56s? Or can I do the same steps but not start the car etc...?

There's a different coding sequence for boost on the 1st gen cars
https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...angaugeii.html

No FPR on the 1st gen as far as I know.

Cat temp

Has anyone had luck with catalyst temp?

Catalyst Temp *F
TXD: 07DF013C
TXF: 0441053C
TXD: 2810
MTH: 00090005FFD8
NAM: fCA or CAT

I have checked the above codes over and over and can't seem to figure out what I have done wrong.

I'm getting a starting temp of about 10X above ambient (800 or so) and then it goes up to C650 or something. It's almost as if the MTH is wrong but looking online it's what everyone else is using.

Thanks unclemeat! Your thread here is the reason why we installed a Scangauge in our project R55 JCW to begin with. That and being able to clear constant P2270 CELs from the catless downpipe we're using too. Having boost, AFR, water temp and IAT for relatively short money is invaluable. The Scangauge doesn't have the quick response time that a mechanical gauge does, but that's a small price to pay...

So at the risk of sounding like a total noob....

Based on the following:

Where FFxx will fit one of the following offsets:
14.0 -- FF74
14.1 -- FF73
14.2 -- FF72
14.3 -- FF71

for those of you setting yours to be "zero" - are you setting that to be "zero" at ignition on or at idle?

So, for example if you wanted a "13.9" you would set the FFxx @ FF75? 13.8 would be FF76...etc??

If that is correct, I set mine for 13.9 but I am still in negative (-8 +/-) numbers at idle.

Sorry to ask this...but maybe it's just too obvious for me and I'm reading more into it than I need to.....

Thanks

Did you just open a can of worms! Those FFxx numbers are atmospheric pressure in lbs/sq". The number you enter should be based on the average altitude the you drive in. I set mine for 1000ft and know it's a compromise. At idle, mine reads -10.1 set that way. For every additional 1K you lose .5lbs of boost. Gotta do that part in your head. Have fun, LOL.

actually that does help.....my altitude is right at 700. Am I doing the FFxx steps correctly? At what point do those FF's turn to something different?

So where did you end up setting yours? FF....??

Thanks

Man are you asking the wrong person as to whether you're doing it correctly. Only took me ~9 tries to set mine, LOL. Atmospheric pressure at sea level is 14.7lbs/square inch, so at 1000' I took off .5lbs to compensate and set mine on FF72 or 14.2lbs/sq". That number is what the gauge subtracts from the MAP reading and then displays as BST. BTW, I didn't figure this out by myself. There's a huge thread on this in NAM somewhere and a guy there posted all the gory details . Hey, he even has the codes for AFR! Good Luck - DW

The only thing you have to do is set it based on your altitude as (The FFxx as phlash mentioned above). Once that's done the only other things to do is add any custom gauges you might want.

Being in Texas I agree 100%. And intake air temps have gone way down since installing my Helix intercooler. It's made a huge difference that I may not have realized if I didn't have the SGII to monitor the intake air temps.

Keep an eye on the Helix group buys. They just started another one so if you buy it like that you'll save a good chunk of change.

Hey, little help here!
I have had an SGII for a couple years now, and just got my Countryman S a week ago. Today I hooked the SGII up in the car to get the boost gauge set up, and it worked the first time, but not again . . .
This evening I went out to see what would happen if I also displayed MAP. Worked like a charm. I thought this method was supposed to eliminate the need to display MAP? Could I be doing something wrong?

I don't usually look in this forum, so I missed this thread previously. I just tried the boost gauge and it seems to work. It went up to 18.8 in the JCW.
