I ended up putting mine at the bottom of the dinner plate (see Gallery). Up by the tach, I was spending to much time staring at the thing! Info overload. Not sure about AFR, but it might be hiding in the XGauge function somewhere. Got mine set for BST, IAT, LOD and VLT. I really like it as I've been able to figure out all sorts of stuff by using it. Example: Have seen a dramatic drop in IATs with the intake mods I've done. GET ONE!

I like alot of information and the guage provides everything that I need. Mine is set for IAT,VLT,Temp and MPH since I really cant read my speedo once I am over 60. I also use it to track my MPG and use it on fill ups. The Multi color functions is also nice as mine is set to blue same as my tach and speedo.
I said this once before, I dont think the Guage really fits the theme of the Mini, as I have seen alot nicer set ups, but nothing provides the amount of information and also lets you see and clear codes the way this does, so for me it is more about function then looks.

This was just using the included velcro kit and cable:

Click the photo for larger image, easy to read and I like the "Fill-Up" feature that accurately shows fuel gallons used.

Mine is to the left of the tach like many others have done. It is the perfect location for it.

And yes, it reads AFR's on the R56. I usually have mine to show boost, IAT, Ignition timing, AFR.

A Scan Gauge is seriously the best $150 you can spend on the car!

Fully agree . BTW, where's the AFR? Might want to try it for some unknown reason.

Here's my Scangauge. The displayed speed is from running the track the previous day.

Had I known the SGII would have fit so perfectly here, i would have routed the wire behind the dash 10 minutes before when I was completing the radio install. Now I got to rip it all apart again and feed it back there, and fab up something to cover up the exposed sides of the cubbie to make it fit up nicely.

After trying 3 other locations, here's where I finally ended up. Craven modified their dual gauge mount for me so it would take the SG mounting arm mounted vertically. I shortened it 1" to get it out of my straight ahead view, but still be able to see it. This time it's staying put! LoL

BTW, here's an old race driver's trick. Note my OP/WT gauges look all cockeyed. That's so when they're in their normal operating range the needles point straight up. You don't have to stare at them to tell something ain't right.

Metra offers a kit (you can order it through best buy expanded selection for 30$, and its a complete dash kit with a double din opening, which works for either auto or non auto ac. You can fit in a double din (what i'll do in the future) or fit a single din and it include a cubbie(what i did since i have a single din already with direct ipod charging control etc). The fit is a 8/10, and there are some small gaps I had to finagle with, but with time it can be done. They offer a block out plate for removing the speedometer screen (radio) portion and you can remove the whole thing, or what I did was I left the screen intact, and i disconnected the cd player and fit it behind the speedo. Takes some cutting, but again it can be done. If you look in the navi section there are some photos of someone who also did it. I already had everything wired as i had the HU in the secret compartment for a year or so, and just recently moved it. I'm at work now but if you have questions feel free to PM me.
