However, given that I'm self-employed I know all to well about the nature of business. As much as I'd like to appreciate what your saying, if Adam/Riss was so concerned about the sims working properly he should have waited to ship them until he had them d!cked. If the pressure was too much for him then maybe he was in the wrong line of work to begin with.

Likewise I've seen stuff like this happen on other forums and it truly sucks, and makes it that much more difficult for the next legit guy or girl to come along and try to make a living while someone like Adam/Riss has left a bitter taste in their mouth, along with a lighter wallet...

I completely agree with you. I dont think he was right in shipping them out or possibly faking back orders. I think he was doing the rob peter to pay paul method. I wasnt trying to push any blame on the end user. He should have never shipped without full proven testing. He should of stopped taking in orders when he couldnt get them out etc...

You'd probably have something a whole lot less nice to say if you paid for that O2 sim.

Why lock it? It won't change the fact that people got hosed, and Gawd help Adam/Riss if he tries to get back on his feet again, especially if he tries slinging his vaporwear here. But guys like him are a bad penny and always turn up again somewhere else where there's unsuspecting people lining up to give them money.
Whats vaporwear?

you know, products that never materialize, like Alta's Flash tool or their p0420 fix...
Riss's o2 sim is borderline vaporware, technically Adam shipped a product, but since it never worked and he vanished shortly after.... meh

Riss did that with all their products. My RR catback is collecting dust in my garage! I like to call it my full race exhaust! haha

A loud droney tone. Its like a straight pipe. Its really loud!! I didnt fit too well either. When i ordered their downpipe(which is honestly a solid dp) i waited almost 6 months for it! It was a horrible first experience modding this mini.

Yay I souplike to know this too I see people actively recommending RR downpopes all over this thread.. If he is still scamming the moderators need to deff put out a bigger warning then this thread.

I think it's just people picking them up for dirt cheap from fellow NAM'ers. I've seen them go for around $100 nowadays.

In all fairness, the biggest problem with Riss before they bailed on their customers and ripped a bunch of people odd was that they weren't able to get their O2 sim working. Now that Jan/rmw and Alta are able to tune out the p0420, the problem with their downpipe isn't such a big deal

Gotta agree with that last post. I put on one of the RR DP's and it was good quality but of course threw a CEL pretty quick. I was lucky enough to also get one of the 02 Sims that actually shipped. I say lucky because I did actually get it - for free per the deal offered in the group buy - although it didn't work at all.

I've got an RMW tune and no longer have the CEL and the car recently passed smog (no sniffer, just checking the status in the OBD-II).

I guess I'm lucky, I had a positive experience with RR but I will admit it took more than a few phone calls to make sure of that.

Bottom line, if ya don't like 'em, don't buy from them. I think there's enough negative crap on the forums about the matter.
