Pulley install order @50k miles?
Hi all , I have been reading a ton of posts but just want to make sure I have it straight. I have a stock(performance wise) 05 MCS and want to get the Alta V2 15% pulley. I got the car about a month a go , and it has 48k miles right now. I am planning on getting the Dinan intake first - then the pulley. I would want to install them CAI first or at the same time, but is there anything else at this time I should change on the car? I figured I would change the main belt with the pully belt, but should I do sparkplugs or anything else with the pully since i will have the car out of action anyway? This car is my DD(about 35-40 miles a day 5 days a week). I just wanted to have some exprianced insite as to wether there is any other matenance I should do since I would be doing these upgrades right around the 50k mile mark. Thanks for reading

If you are not sure when the spark plugs were last changed (probably have never been changed) it would be a good time to replace the spark plugs. You could go with one range colder plug like used for the JCW engines.
You might also want to get a belt tensioner strap that keeps the belt tensioner for going too far if the tensioner/belt fails. You might also want to replace the rubber tensioner bushings with poly bushings.
All items are available from an aftermarket vendor such as Way Motor Works.
You will need to buy or borrow a belt tensioner tool to release the belt tension.
Another unrelated item that you might want to think about replacing is the passanger side motor mount because they tend to fail (leak black goo) by 50k miles. You can get a stock replacement mount for about $75 or a good aftermarket replacement for $200 from TSW.

Thanks for the info I was reading about the mounts failing, but I (knocks on wood ) have yet to see any leaks from them. The tensioner strap sounds like a great little invention too
One question tho - if I go with the stock mount replacement would I be in for another replacement around the next 50k miles?
