Drivetrain Complete Picture?

Complete Picture?
As the plumbing in the S is rather convoluted, lots of "mirical" replacememt parts, and lots of terms thrown around. I am looking for a complete schematic of the inlet/turbo/exhaust system. Just wondering what techniologies were used here. Does it use a waste gate or a pressure releive of some sort? It is ECU controlled? The turbo does not seem to be variable inlet and does not look like it is a water jacket bearing. What the heck is a "noisemaker" There seems to be some additinoal plumbing inside the valve cover, presumably to maintain a relatively consistent crankcase vacuum. I see comments on oil seperation cans. Do we blow much oil out the breather (stock)? I see a hose going into the cowl box. What is this? Do the cats have air injection?
I see the mass air sensor on the airbox, and I guess the inlet air temp on the hose going to the manifold. Where are the other sensors?
Just looking around, the outlet hose from the intercooler is highly restricted. I would assume the turbo outlet muffler is somewhat restrictive. Inside the stock airbox, the hoses exit and enter with sharp edges, not nice tapers with rolled edges. Molded plastic. Shame on Mini. I see several hose size changes. Also not usually good. None of these issues probablly have any effect on below 4000, so I probably will just put in a K&N filter in my standard airbox and leave it alone. I just would like to see all of how it is made. There are beautiful parts in there, like the stainless exhaust manifold, we only dreamed of when I did my first turbo. (70's)
