Drivetrain power mods

+1 on that.
Go here for info on the tune: http://www.revolutionmini.com/. Click on Products Page, then R56. If you're in CA or live near any upcoming local tuning events, you can just buy the tune; otherwise you'll need the flash tool, too. You download your stock tune into the tool, email the file to Jan, and he sends you back a modified file which you can upload back into your ECU. Turn-around is usually less than a day.
For intakes, word is that the best results are coming from a stock JCW air box.
Or do like I did ... I just got the tune on an otherwise bone stock R56 and got some rather impressive results.

Step ONE: What are you trying to achieve? Do you track it? Road or strip? Do you want off the line torque, corner exit, or peak? What will you be willing to give up? ( driveablity, peakeness, millage, durrablity, noise, tons of money)
Do you have an LDS? You just can't use much more power with one-wheel drive anyway.
Well, one could start with the works package. Intake, cat-back and tune. A known quantity at a known price. (high). From the charts, this provides power at the top end with not much help down low.
Be prepared to tune it several times as you go through different mods to suit your use unless you want to exactly copy another's all ready worked out configuration.

If your looking for BIG HP, you will definitely need a mechanical LSD, Quaife etc etc.
To get yourself BIG HP, you should purchase yourself a JCW airbox, fit this with an ITG panel filter or similar, a high flow cat or catless downpipe, an uprated intercooler, fit a resonator delete hose, then get yourself the JCW exhaust manifold, and either purchase the JCW turbo or a hybrid KO3/KO4 do NOT purchase a GT2871RS as these are way too BIG, if you still want more power, then get yourself a ported cylinder head fitted with camshafts to suit, then after you amass all these lovely goodies, then go about getting a tune for them, this little lot will see you push the 300bhp mark.
