This is quick recap of some of the things we have posted in this thread. Make sure to read all pages as there are some hidden things about the ALTA AccessPORT through out the tread.

Here is one JCW result. This shows a customer car, that has a stock tune, but with ALTA Turboback exhaust, and ALTA Intercooler only. This customer is a huge track day guy and he did say Holy Crap after his track day!

This is our JCW with turboback exhaust, Intercooler, hot side boost tube, and of course an ALTA AccessPORT Tune.

The comparison car is the same car a few hours previous but in completely stock form no ECU tuning.

Look for more info to be released next week!

Wake us up when you are ready to ship...

Sorry for any scepticism but we've heard this story before.

edit:

cool looking device. Having seen MINIs get flashed before though, I know the portion of the video showing the flash loading in 4-5 seconds isn't for a MINI.

Looks like a Cobb accessport for the Mini. This is a good thing. A technology that can be taken advantage of by a lot of different tuners.

Only took 4 years for an accessport to come out for the R56.

If you mean can you buy one and have it work on 3 of your own Minis? Not at the same time. If you buy this then buy a new mini it will work on that one, pending its a car we support.

If you mean more than the Cooper S and JCW, then yes! We can tune any turbo Mini at this point.

So you are saying i can come knock on your door next week?

Your right we sped up that part to fit the video. Is 35 seconds ok with you?

Not hiding that at all!

Yes it did, and trust me, its worth the wait/effort/headaches/forum bashing and anything else we have endured since we started this project!

I know you're not hiding it....I wouldn't if I were you either! Cobb is such a great name in turbo engine tuning (yes, even bigger than RMW! imagine that!). I'd be be pretty proud to be able to bring that name and technology to the Mini. Good job.

Give me a buzz, I'm willing to be a tester. I have a tune now but wouldn't mind trying yours.

I was very impressed with the tunes y'all put on the unichip - just not impressed with the cables.

35 seconds sounds about right =)

Well assuming you can adjust each one of the parameters shown in the video...that will be pretty impressive.

Hopefully it really is a good product and not marketing hype...which the above tuner, or should I say marketing company, is soooo good at.

But I truly do wish it to be awesome...the community needs it.

quick question that should be a no brainer.. Will this device save your original file so you can load it back on at will?

I updated the sig this evening to reflect my current tune. I won't say more about the tune until I'm given the go ahead to do so. I made a promise to Jeff that I will not break. My word is my bond.

Jeff gave me permission about a week or so ago to start letting people know that they tuned my MINI, I only updated my sig once I saw ALTA started this thread.

Much more info to come...believe me, their new tuning solution is no joke, I am very impressed.

I for one am a big fan of competition. It's great for everyone, especially the consumer. I'll keep my eyes peeled for the upcoming reviews and am looking forward to reading the raw, unbiased reviews we're used to reading on this site.

+1 on competition, it's generally a good thing. I will patiently wait to hear more; direct access to tweaks can be very good in the right hands, but to a complete noob like me, probably just a loaded gun waiting for a toe to blow off. I would also like to know if the device will provide upload/download capability like the RMW flash tool?

And for those who were promised this

at a "significant discount" due to CELs from the catted down pipe:
  1. What will be our discount?
  2. How do we get the discount?
  3. Does it turn-off the DP-related CEL as promised?
