As long as it's a stock build, you won't need to change the tune. If you have aftermarket higher compression pistons installed, you should look into getting a custom tune.

Yes, please tell us the sordid details. Inquiring minds with 2007 S's using AccessPorts want to know!

I've read in the past that engine damage with carbon buildup and the AP is possible. I have also read that if guys run stage 3 with stage 1 mods that engine damage is possible.

There is always some risk with mods. I'm not trying to accuse the AP of causing damage, or defend Alta. JMO.

Funny, haven't heard from Steve yet. Maybe he's too busy or maybe he's a shill for the competition.:-)

I blew my 2007 s with a tune but it was the risk I took tuning a known weak motor. I now have the jcw tune but don't want to risk running my old one again. Im guessing that's why the jcw tune doesn't make the same numbers as the aftermarket. For reliability. Don't let me put you off but also dont read this and think it won't happen to me because that's exactly what I did.
I won't mention what tune I used because I don't blame that company at all and don't wanna bad mouth them.

Hello guys I got these 2 codes
P2EFB
P2AC2

I know it was to do with a sensor. I have the ALTA filter and ALTA stage 1 tune am not sure if its because of the tune or anything but should I be worried about these codes?

I cleared them off with the AP and i haven't gotten them again but from what i heard i think it has to do with the intake filter or a sensor.

Flako, I'd check your MAF sensor, the IAT stands for intake air temp. I'd unplug it and plug it back in to make sure it's getting a good connection.

For the other code, it's related to the front O2 sensor in the downpipe. If it doesn't come back, I wouldn't worry about it. If it does, check the connection and try unplugging it and plugging it back in too.

I've seen it noted here a few times, but while at running temp and idling, my car likes to do a 50-100 rpm steady 'pulse'. A lot of times it clears up with a re-flash, but noticed that it ended up being a little more prominent with the stage 1 92oct tune than the stage 1 91oct. This isn't going to cause any significant problems, is it?

To my understanding, it's just a normal BMW computer thing for the most part. Just about every BMW i've driven, tuned or not (minis included), have done the same thing.

Should I be concerned? Send datamaps?

Tillos, We might have a map that can help with that. Send me a PM with your email, model of MINI, ECU code, octane, transmission and throttle map and I can send you one of our latest maps, thanks!

Same thing here, but I notice it seems to only happen when the a/c is on. Is yours all the time?

This happens to me when my AC's on too, ever since I moved to Stage 2. Alta gave me some updated maps but I haven't gotten around to loading them. I don't think it's a big issue though.

I notice it all the time. Occasionally it just won't happen at all, which is strange.

When yours is doing it, is it strictly with AC on, or is it when fans are on? I can test it out later and see if it's fan / AC related on my end.

EDIT; Confirmed it only happens with fans on (whether heat or AC, both do it).

Also just threw code P2885 last night while doing a little bit of 'aggressive' driving... Looks like I'm going to be purchasing a new BOV

I have a perfectly good OEM diverter valve I'm selling for $40. Only a few hundred miles on it.

You can try taking that little cover off and slipping a zip tie over the hose. I had to do this before I did the PCV delete.

Before applying the new updated maps received from Chris, (i have no clue why i did but) I clicked the "update beta firmware" checkbox and the Access Port started updating the firmware.
It was going through the steps fine then it stopped at the part where it said "waiting for device to reboot".
I let it sit there for about 15 min then pressed the "cancel" button and now I seemed to have "bricked" the access port.
When connected it just shows "do not disconnect" to "safe to disconnect" back and forth with COBBS logo in between time.

The acess port is currrently "married".
Wrote an email to Cobbs about the solution; hopefully I receive reply soon.

Anyone with similar experience?

What you think about the PCV delete? Should I do it? And what are the benefits? Thanks for the help in advance
