NICE!!! Glad that all worked out! Thanks again for the business and the feedback. Be sure to leave some rubber on the tires for your commute tomorrow!

Access Port compatability with R60 Countryman

Will the Access Port be available for the R60 Countryman Cooper S in the future?
I think a Countryman S All4 would be fantastic with the usual R56 kinda mods!!
I'm at the point of trying to decide what i should buy next year- R56 Cooper S or R60 Countryman Cooper S All4. Having the Access Port available for the R60 would make my choice a lot easier!

Personal preference, but I'd hold off for another year or two and see what the MINI roadster brings to the table.

I have a euro spec JCW (Swedish).
What I learned so far
It seems that the major issue is the hardware difference between Euro spec and US-spec is the MAF sensor, in Sweden cars with N14 Engine (175hp Cooper S) is missing the MAF sensor. Cars with N18 (184hp engine) and JCWs is equipped with MAF. So it looks like the JCWs are quite similar in hardware euro-US. But there are differences in the software, I think Alta is looking at this, I sent them a copy of my original tune to analyze.

Just ordered my AcessPort! I'm so excited to get it. When will the pop and burble feature be available though? It is one of the main reasons why I got it as they said it was gonna be available shortly.

Euro Guys / Gals: No exact ETA but appreciate the continued interest. Hoping for some good information later in 2011. Stay tuned!

bmwi6: Thanks for the order! As new mapping is developed, it will be preloaded for download online. So once you see the announcement here, you will be able to get it. Hope that helps!

Thanks again!

BTW: Cyber Monday sale extends for a few more hours! Get your ALTA goodies to compliment your AccessPORT asap!

edit: clamp broke on the boost tube to intercooler pipe and the tube was sitting there off

Driving home from the gym, pushed the gas to pass someone and the car felt like it had no tune anymore. The turbo is also making a different noise than normal, more of a hiss than a high pitch. No lights came on so not too sure what the deal is/was. Anyone else experience this?

Has anyone broke 147 mph in a JCW with the ALTA tune since the limit was changed to 190+?

Gps verified at 154 with an intake and tune. Totally legal of course. Oh and it's not a JCW either

Make sure when you re install the hose that there's plenty of hose on the intercooler and the clamp is before the bead on the intercooler. That way the pipe should stay on the intercooler.

If you have a R56 Cooper S and dont have a accessPort yet STOP WAITING!!! Seriously, everything on my car is Alta performance and I couldnt be happier! I have the alta CAI, FMIC, full turboback exhaust, and boost tubes + the accessPort. I dynoed my car completly stock then dynoed again on Monday first without the accessPort then with it. I had a total gain of 60 HP and and 73 Ft-lbs of torque!! The accessPort combined with the other modifications yielded 37.9 HP and 63.3 Ft-lbs of torque! BUY A ACCESSPORT!! Its by far the most performance for the money plus you will get outstanding customer service. Thanks for everything Chris and Jeff.

Thanks, I'm getting close to having some of the same mods as you. Just wanted to know what something similar was making.
in the works currently
-Alta Ic
-M7 Charge pipe (hot side)
-Alta JCW DP
-DoS intake

Looking for
-Rest of the Alta 3" cat back
-Cold side boost tube
-Alta PnP

Hopefully it wasn't all the extra power that blew the headgasket, I have currently 29k on the clock and I have an 08 too.

Whoa, totally did not realize my first post made it on here. sorry guys....i was using my cell. Peter I will get you better numbers when I actually have the graphs in front of me. Also, the dealership said the headgasket was due to a manufacterer defect in the head. Chakraj, Im debating the water/meth kit or big brake kit next....hmm?

Oh sweet, Thanks Hamon thats good to know. I am looking forward to big numbers with the MINI, Although I would like to know the limitations of the Auto Trans power wise
As my daily driver I can't have this thing blowing up on me, And seeing as you made an extra ~100hp and ~130 ft-lbs of torque with the manual I will probably take a hit on those numbers because of the slushbox.

We must have had a little misunderstanding somewhere. My total gains over stock with the accessPort installed was 60 HP and 73 Ft-lbs of torque. Im at 217.3 HP to the wheels I believe and I cant remember the torque. Ill look when I get home

ohhhhh, From your earlier post's it sounded like you made 60 Hp with just the parts and then with the Acessport another 40 hp on top of the supporting mods.
Dang I was looking forward to 250 hp
