Pulley problem

Any help on this would be very much appreciated!!!

Okay so I bought my 02 coop s with 8k on it and have since put 6k on it. The other day my serpentine belt snapped as I was pulling out and had to get on it to merge with traffic. Prior to me buying the car it sat in a showroom for 2 maybe 3 years, so I figured it was from age not miles. So I put a new belt on and it was fine. About two days later I was leaving work and started my car and heard the belt being ate away, so I tried to just get it home to work on it(only live 5 miles down the road) as I got home and looked under my car the whole belt had come off. So I went and got another belt, put it on and had a mechanic buddy come see if I had a bent pulley. His conclusion was that it looked like the idler pulley was slightly wobbling, but now the car squeals like a pig at around 3 grand. So he said it could be the tensioner also. I havnt drove it since the third belt was put on and I just want to know if either of these are common at such low miles and If I should replace both

So I just remembered that the people before me put a smaller pulley on the car... Not sure what it is but it's putting down 15-16 pounds... But would that cause a stock belt to slip off?

If your idler is wobbling, you need to replace it, and it's a hint-and-a-half that that's why your belt is breaking. While the belt is off, spin all of the other pulleys to be sure that they do not have faulty bearings as well. BTW, the idler is cheap and easy to replace.

That's what I did the first time and everything felt fine, I'm not saying it wobbles it just don't look to smooth... I'm going to try the smaller belt and see if it still looks funny... Will replace if it still looks funny... But that's good it won't be a lot, thanks for the info!
