WMW Performance Blow off Valve -- opinions?
I'm looking for opinions from people who have specifically installed this piece and if they found it to make an improvement.
http://www.waymotorworks.com/wmw-per...off-valve.html
Also, I read on the WMW site from one of the reviewers that it's a "stealth" install -- that the dealer won't notice. This is very, very important to me -- is it true? I need to keep that warranty valid on the engine since I simply don't trust the reliability of these cars. Is it noticeable and/or does it cause any particular damage to the engine?
Thanks!

Headlands,
You should pay a visit to the service manager at your local dealership and ask what is their stance on engine mods. If they are cool with the mods than you have no issue. Take a look at my signature. See all that stuff in there? I have NEVER had an issue bringing my car in for service. They have never refused me service. Now granted I have not brought my car in for any engine, transmission or clutch related issues. But they know that stuff is there and they have not given me a hard time about it.
For the most part people that are into MINIs mod the car in some way. Maybe not as drastically as many of us on here but this is a common practice with our cars.

It is not a BOV, it replaces the stock diverter valve.

I was one of the first to pick this up from Way. For the price it is a why not. Several other companies make BOVs and they are just redundant. There is the deverter valve which is what Way's product replaces. So far I love it, the sound is awesome especially under hard acceleration. It does help with turbo spool during gear shifting even though it is only slightly. The install was easy until I dropped one of the three screws and had to go to Pep Boys and get another one. For the price you can get this and a solid cold side pipe and this BOV and you will have an awesome sounding MINI. I will post video soon and what I am talking about.

Kind of.......it isn't a BOV like Alta or the other brands. It replaces the stock diverter valve. I don't think it changes anything to the noise of the car. It just recirculates the boost faster.

The diverter valve for the JCW AFAIK is the same p/n as that of the S so I am not sure what you are talking about unless I am missing something.
