Chances are you'll only see minor gains in power, you'll hear noise increase with both, they're both good products, NM's fits especially well (haven't had exhaust depot but considering their downpipes and exhaust fitment i'd have to believe that their boost tubes work just as well). if you're PLANNING on getting a VTA BOV, it really is probably just a matter of your taste, find whatever tickles your fancy, see what kinda BOV it is, if its HKS's sequential one then i'd say get the two for one and get the exhaust depot one... if you're a stock fan and like that sound then go NM and keep the stock Recirc valve on the turbo. if you want a Vent To Atmosphere for the cheapest possible route while maintaining hardpiping, go either hardpipes, and get Forge's BOV Spacer.

long story short, either will be a great choice, NM is growing popularity for its fit and finish, and for good reason too, they have some VERY high quality stuff that follows stock hose lines perfectly and with style. Exhaust Depots will be slightly cheaper, but there's no mention of how much wider the ID (internal diameter) of the hoses are compared to stock... NM at least has the hose difference to tell you how much.

my $0.02 is if you care about how the engine bay looks, go NM for the bling overly pretty look of it, otherwise save the couple bux for brake fluid and increase your cars pedal feel

Definetly go with the NM pipes. We have used them and the quality is superior. We always keep them in stock cause they are so good.

As for the BOV check out our WMW direct replacement valve, it has been getting great results.

Way,
I am thinking of doing the pipes soon along with the replacement valve but only if you can confirm with 100% certainty that it's not currently offered on the 2010 builds already?

The valve is located on the turbo housing. It is accessible by removing the screw that holds the coolant reservoir in place (like doing an oil change). It's three 5mm hex head bolts that fix it to the housing. A relatively simple job...just make sure you have some T-handle hex drivers.

It is an upgraded diverter valve. Exactly what components are different...I am unsure but as I understand it the unit holds more boost available for throttle tip in and/or out of a corner. In other words, the boost is there when you are getting back on the throttle or increasing your throttle input. There are several post...just search WMW diverter valve.

I have NM pipes and Ways BOV they are awesome but, I have been to Exhaust Depot and handled their pipes and I tell you they are pretty good. Just the HKS BOV is just redundant.

I know the one I offer is different, that's for sure. The question is did they make the 2010 any different? I don't think so but we won't know till you pull it out and we compare it to the 2009 one.

EDIT - You do NOT need a BOV. Just get the NM pipes. End of story.

Doesn't HKS make a hard pipe BOV kit themselves? I just bought the MINI specific HKS kit. Straight plug n play. No need to buy a separate hard pipe kit with flange if the company that makes the BOV makes the piping themselves.
